  • Got up yesterday feeling decidedly ropey , sniffly noise and a bit of a cough . At least the UTI has gone , anyway had a slow day , worked in my pjs for the first time and had an early night and feeling more with it today.
In work tomorrow as long as my cough doesn't escalate , we are now being told not to have meetings in person!
Anyway today I need to do some housework as I was away all weekend and am busy this coming one , so I have dusted everywhere this morning , changed my bed . Lunchtime I will Hoover if I feel like it.
    Have a good day .

I started with feeling rough, sniffing, aching and a bit of a cough on Friday afternoon. Lots of Covid cases where I work at the moment although I’m pretty certain I’ve just got a cold.

Glad the UTI has gone. Hope you feel better soon.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Work is strangely quiet today, which always worries me , like the calm before the storm . I have hoovered through and done all the washing . Went for a walk and feel better for that , I love being outside .

As you popped into my diary and gave me shop-envy  I thought I should read yours!

Hopefully your lurgy is just a cold and will behave itself - you're right there's masses of nasty ones around this year, I've escaped so far but sure it's just a matter of time!

  • I still have a cold but lateral flows are negative . Work continued to be quiet the rest of the week . I had youngest DGS on Friday for a practice run , it went ok but I forget how tiring babies are . Yesterday DGD had her princess birthday party and it was lovely to see her with her school friends having a good time after the past 18 months . The shopping and housework got done pre party . Today I am going to a friends for Sunday dinner , her husband has MS so she likes entertaining at home . It will be dark when I go out but it will be lovely to see her .
I have paid my CC today from the Xmas fund , which makes things so much easier and added another £200 to PBS . Have kept £50 back as I seem to socialising more than normal at the minute .
I need to go in my big cupboard to find my Xmas cards I still haven't done it . Ironing first though , I will carry on watching Dynasty on Netflix . It's very trashy but easy on the brain 😂.
    Have a relaxing day .
