I have wrote a previous thread regarding them.
This time it's to do with the fact, they are charging a whopping £3.00 for 24 Weetabix.
It's disgusting and the reason is because they want you and me to purchase the "Tesco Wheat Biscuits" that are next to them.
Tesco Wheat Biscuits are £1.10 compared to the 3x that of the Weetabix.
I went in Tesco express yesterday and noticed they had sold 8 boxes of there own brand and they had NOT sold even 1 box of Weetabix, not even 1.
This is nothing new to Tesco they are choosing are spending habits, it's not just Weetabix but it's Nescafe and Nutella and every other branded product.
They don't care about the customer and they certainly don't care about there bread and butter companies that Tesco was originally built on.
Their moto is "Every Little Helps" and yes that is true, it means Tesco will Grab every little penny you have no matter how little the amount is.
This is complete and utter "Price Fixing" they have doubled the cost of branded products to guarantee you will buy the cheaper version which is of course Tesco Brand.
I noticed that they started price fixing around ten years ago but now they are just taking the p***.
How much longer are we going to put up with this company?.
Yes I know this is a vent thread but please vent within the realms of reality1 -

How much longer are we going to put up with this company?.According to Tesco website, 24 weetabix are £2.80, not £3.00.Brand choice is up to each individual shopper.Sainsburys are also selling weetabix 24 pack for £2,80.They sell their own brand for £1.80.Is this also a 'shameful scam'?1 -
Sorry, I should have added. I buy 48 pack of Sainsbury for £2,50, the 24 pack is £1.80.0

I wonder if they buy brand name or supermarket own label tin foil?!3

I just don't understand why Tesco are getting the blame for this supposed price fixing - surely every other supermarket would have to be in on it too?
Maybe you should grow your own wheat, harvest it, make it into bix and see if its £3 worth of effort.2 -
He’s not a fan of Royal Mail either. A combination of the two would probably reduce him to apoplexy. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -
How do you know what they had sold and how many?1
-
So the complaint is the cost of a 24 box of Weetabix is £3 from Tesco Express, if thats the case then whats the issue, Tesco Express always cost more than the Tesco stores.1
