Well that was quite the jump.1 -

I noticed that too - perhaps to evade the wrong advise in that 'There will not be a V4' is actually not a lie!0

I'm happy its turned out this way, especially as I'm about £250 better off because of it.

Just look at this (below). It looks like we are already pretty much on the new Agile cap already. No one is going to sign up for this, are they?

Well done to those if octopus do indeed honour the current cap on v3, I have spoken to 2 CS agents and have at least 3 emails all stating that tracker tariff caps will increase for all. If they do honour it then I will probably send them an email to just say their advice was wrong and its poor to have 3 different agents saying that caps will increase, how can people make an informed decision when CS are spouting this kind of info.
Although it is early days, I guess nothing to stop Octopus raising caps on other trackers but maybe leave it another month or so and do it same time as the new Ofgem cap.
That way they are giving existing tracker customers a few more months for loyalty and as they said to me gives existing tracker customers at least 30 days notice of the change. I don't think you can 100% rule out the cap being raised at some point, but good news for now.0 -
Just so that there is no doubt, here's the very clear tweet from Octopus confirm no changes to existing customers:
https://twitter.com/OctopusEnergy/status/1550513027589746689Hey there, the new caps for Tracker and Agile just came into effect today and it only applies to new/renewing customers. So if you’re on Agile now, you’ll keep the old cap (of 35p) until your current tariff ends. Feel free to DM any Qs. 👍🐙

Thanks for your reply. At the moment, we don't advise Agile Octopus as prices are quite high at the moment. The other tariffs that have been sent to you are the ones we have on offer. I have now sent them all again for you to review and you can decide which ones you would like to go for by clicking on the links in the mail.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Kind regards,

I was so close, just had my agile outgoing set up and was in the process of switching to incoming but it's been stuck on the last section for a week, should have chased it.
Am I right you get a year at 35p max if you don't leave?4.3kwp JA panels, Huawei 3.68kw Hybrid inverter, Huawei 10kw Lunar 2000 battery, Myenergi eddi, South facing array with a 15 degree roof pitch, winter shade.0
