Something to note, I enquired about Agile and now I have an email which says just accept and you are good to go, it looks like this quote is valid for 28 days.... Which means I could probably sit on tracker for a little while more than I wanted presuming I can still accept this once the tariff is changed... I have asked them to clarify on that... Agile is definitely where I want to be but around August ideally.
Octopus are exceptionally good at their CS I must say, answering annoying questions like this...0 -

I know when @QrizB moved gas, he was put on the version at switch over date (V3) not the version available when the request was made (V2).

I didn't arrange a delayed switch, I got tracker backdated to my supply live date as I was stuck with Eon Next until the 10th. I saw another thread talking about octopus fixes and they agreed to fix to that in Aug... that's ages away in terms of tariffs and certainly will have changed by then, so if they will honour that why wouldn't they the Agile/Tracker?0

How can this thread generate 54 posts between me going to work and getting home again? It's not like I'm on an oil rig for six weeks, this is one working day!bristolleedsfan said:Xbigman said:Agile doesn't have version numbers so its possible Agile as a tariff could be changed en-masse for all existing users.I don't think Tracker V1 was "V1" until they released V2; it was just Tracker.milo_2020 said:EDIT: I suspect when we start to see tracker over 35p quite a few days then Agile will have to go up as a economical business decision. There were roughly three months during the most recent winter when Tracker was nominally over 35p/kWh, biut Octopus held the 30p Tracker V1 cap throughout. For one day it would've been almost 60p/kWh if uncapped.Spies said:Octopus unlike the other cowboys, hedge their energy so I don't think they're operating at a loss.N. It seems to have gone slightly off-topic albeit Octopus and more people involved in a chat room style discussion lol0

I've just asked Octopus to switch to tracker and they've sent me a link to sign up....but they refer to it as simply "tracker" - there's no mention of any version number, how do I know it's v3 (or is it something else)?0

That is what I understood; after all, v2 was only available for circa 17 days?

OK, thanks but I notice that the standing charge I'm being quoted for both electricity and gas is significantly lower than quoted in the Octopus Tracker FAQs, do you know why that might be? Are the FAQs out of date?
I'm in Eastern region and I've been quoted 18.522p per day for Electric, 15.0885 for gas, but in the FAQs for Eastern Region it quotes respectively 35.86 and 25.920
