Another difference between electric tracker and Agile, is the average unit rate for the day seems to be higher on Agile consistently.

So if you like the idea of using a tracker type tariff, but do not remove your usage away from an average usage pattern then tracker is probably the better tariff.
but you can't get on tracker for 6 months. (Whether you're a new customer, existing customer or even if already a tracker customer with the other fuel)
A few customers elsewhere given the opposite answer last week, screenshot is reply a customer received.

Couple more very recent examples already on tracker gas, able to move to tracker electricity without going on 6 month wait list

I've had a little flick back through this thread but can't seem to find what people are using to track the daily rates for gas and electricity for the tracker tariff? Can somebody who has them post a link? I thought it'd be better to ask here than start a whole new topic on it :)

I use this one. You need to select your own region.

The fact that they have weathered the recent flush of failing companies and have also significantly grown their customer base, such that they are no longer niche, suggests that they must have a good financial base. I would imagine that things like increasing the size of the generating part of the company to subsidise the loss making supply company, restricting access to the most loss making tariffs are all part of the reason why they can weather this storm. (The negotiations for the Bulb customers must have been very interesting)

Absolutely this. They quite clearly know what they are doing across all aspects of the energy market. An additional factor is the Kraken platform which is not only a driver for their own quality customer service but also a revenue generator itself.

  • Octopus Energy may have been a UK start up but it is now an international energy company with operations in 19 countries:

Let me caveat my reply in that once our Eon Next fix deal becomes obviously expensive we will switch to Octopus for one of their TOU or beta tariffs.

That said a company can grow too fast I hope Octopus are not one of them but so far so good👍

Those of you on V3 that have recently renewed, can you tell me if you still have 40p/11p caps or do you get moved to £1.00/30p caps?
