19.94 for us.
The tariff info looks more like wholesale prices but it's lower than the DA average for electricity. (Don't know about gas.)1 -
I was referring to the (erroneous?) URs shown for Tracker October 2022 v1; today's rates for historic trackers are as expected.ChaunceyGardiner said:

Looks like they have pulled the tracker tariff for new customers from 22 Oct. Wholesale prices are considerably lower and I would have benefitted greatly from this tariff. Maybe they realise its too cheap so are amending their formula? I think they should alo revise their flex tariff considering prices have decreased so drastically0

The fall is likely to be a temporary aberration. The Winter has yet to arrive so consumer usage is low; gas reserves have never been higher, and LNG tankers cannot afford to sit idle waiting for European demand to rise.Kuly said:Looks like they have pulled the tracker tariff for new customers from 22 Oct. Nothing to do with that, the formula for unit rates is calculated to cover costs and make a little profit.Kuly said:Looks like they have pulled the tracker tariff for new customers from 22 Oct. So if wholesale price + costs = cheap, which it has been recently, everyone wins - customers by getting cheap energy, Octopus for not making any loss and even making a small profit, and the government by not having to subsidise any usage on Tracker (except the most recent version) because the unit rates are well below the EPG.0 -
Sorry, you think that the government capped tariff that is supposed to remain unchanged for six months should change because of a short-term dip in prices?Kuly said:Looks like they have pulled the tracker tariff for new customers from 22 Oct. If you want a tariff that goes rapidly up and down with some relevance to the short-term wholesale price, that's what agile/tracker are for. You don't want the SVT going up and down like that - or would you like it to be 100p per unit next month if the prices happen to go that way?0 -
If I remember rightly the October tracker caps were 100p for electricity and 60p for gas (correct me if I’m wrong) so nobody would opt for those unless they were a real gambler and ultra low user.0
