I've never been able to quite get the exact figure doing that, but I 'find in page' the closest wholesale figure on the Guy Lipman site and see what price that worked out for my region.ChaunceyGardiner said:
The exact formula for your region is on the Tracker FAQ page.tlcgrantham said:Also comparing previous days figures. I haven’t a clue how to convert that into a exact price as there are various add ons Octopus make. It just gives a rough idea of where tomorrow’s price is going.1 -

I seem to remember from previous posts on this it’s not clear exactly which figure Octopus use as a range of prices from 19.000 to 40.000 is shown and Octopus may not use the average figure.ChaunceyGardiner said:

Quoting myself from the 4th of October (last three columns are max/min/avg price):
The actual price used by Octopus on the 5th (taken from my Tracker bill) was 117p/therm.QrizB said:For tomorrow (the 5th) here's a screencap:
But then on the 5th, for the 6th:
The price Octopus used on the 6th was 119.1p/therm, higher than the upper end of the day-ahead range.SJMALBA said:Looking at today's wholesale DA gas price range of 75-115, that should mean a UR tomorrow, for my energy region, of somewhere between 4.07 - 5.59p/kWh... maybe.Today, the day-ahead prices for tomorrow at Marex are:
So the therm price should be between 19p and 40p, which would be 0.65-1.37p/kWh wholesale or (in my region) 2.1-2.9p/kWh retail. We'll just have to wait and see.N. Hampshire, he/him. For me, gas @ 1.91p/kWh, which means a wholesale DA of 18p/therm (or thereabouts), so lower than anything on Marex...?!Still, 1.91p/kWh!!!0
