Have you read the Ts&Cs ?...OMG!
Halfords state that you must leave your car on Friday and pick it up on Monday.
That gives the mechanic enough time to complete your ‘free’ MOT and also allows him to take his kids to the seaside for the weekend, in your car. Mechanics perks they call it.
That’s what happened to me once!
p.s. true story,...just joshin’ about it being Halfords though. 😁

yes, received mine within the week. take it you have checked your junk folder?"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0

I did a click and collect on a can of Cold Start and didn’t get anything when the receipt was emailed. I started a chat conversation with Halfords, but while waiting I found the free MOT email which was sent two days after the purchase. I had checked my spam folder, but found it in the ‘promotions’ folder in Gmail which I normally ignore.castle96 said:Well I bought my £1 sponge and have yet to receive anything (emai ?l) re the free MOT. I bought a kid's bike last week and the free MOT thing just popped up in my email a day or two later.
No use for it myself, cars are too new, but there you go.0 -
Are you joking about the "Leave on fri pick up Mon" ?? Cant even find the T&Cs0

I've read my free MOT voucher and I can't see anything stating the car can only be booked in on certain days.
They don't half push the other available services in the voucher though.
Servicing, safety checks etc.
I'd trust them to do those as much as I'd trust a guy in an unmarked pick up offering to do my drive.0 -
Lol. Am assuming this is not a serious post. Such arrogance. This is MSEBOWFER said:I bought a kid's bike last week and the free MOT thing just popped up in my email a day or two later.

Free MoT, AKA free fail in my experience.

My car passed with this offer with no advisory (it should have though)
The rear direction light is showing white, and potential wiper problem.
I already have the spare part in the boot, so even if it fail, I won't have to overpaid the inflated price.
I have another voucher line up for November, so I get 18months MOT out of it
