(((Hugs))) and spoons for those feeling jangley or a need today. I, too, found myself snapping at Belovéd. He has a bit of a habit of 'helping' by telling me how to do what I'm in the middle of doing. I'd much rather he actually helped than imply I'm not capable of working out how best to do things. Grr.I've watered and fed all the fruit trees, plants, shrubs, troughs and pots at the front which took a couple of hours. We need rain very soon - the waterbutt has been bone dry for over a month. The fruit trees and blueberries are doing their best and there's blossom on all of them but there's only so much they can do without water.I've re-arranged a few things, chucked a few things out and am about to go up to the attic to get all the kitchenalia down. It's not that we need to sort it out - I know what's up there. It's about what we keep. My mantra is now, 'So - this stuff. It's all going, tell me what you want to keep.' OH has taken to it like a duck to water and it turns out it's the only way to declutter stuff that's been hanging around for years because it would be useful if we ever needed it. We haven't for 25 years. I've had enough of wading through perfectly good stuff that someone else can use. I gave up on Ebay a while ago, and now donate everything which is over and done with in a few hours. I'm tired of the hassle of Ebay, Gumtree, Marketplace, the lot of them. Yes, I could do with the money but my time is finite, whereas I can stretch the budget because I stopped buying stuff well over a year ago and it's surprising how far the money can go once the freezers and store cupboard are full. And the local charities are doing very well out of my degibbling and appear to be very grateful for all donations, although every time I've been to the tip lately I've seen the local Hospice van unloading shedloads of stuff. Thanks Fayolle. I've PM's you back.Better is good enough.8

Bonjour, just poking my head around the door in shame as I've been away so long. No excuses here really except perhaps a dodgy laptop screen and decision to spend a LOT less time on my phone. But actually realised I missed you all and the motivation was dwindling to nothing. So I'm back and hoping to stay for a while.
Have just had a quick glance through this weeks post, what a lot is going on in your lives. Hugs, sticks & spoons for all and any of you.
House here is no worse and I have sorted through one file in the cabinet, I got my new car yesterday so had to find all the necessary paperwork to trade the old one in and so took the opportunity to go through the car file completely. Much paperwork got rid of and all the rest is correctly filed away in order.
Have had paid stuff both at the clients place and via computer from home, but just finished so going to make a cup of tea as am feeling very dehydrated. Then it's out to play with the new car and get my phone connected and work out the gps (never had one in my car before so most excited). Feeling pleased as it was sunny when I left work so was able to drive home with the roof down and music on loud. I'll leave you imagining the reaction of local folk in the village when they see a 50 something year old woman driving a very very brightly coloured convertible with loud music!
I'd better get on and start being accountable for my actions or rather lack of them
Tea next

Kitchenalia sorted, and the bits and pieces we don't need are down for us to go through together. A lot of this is from our two households being combined 27 years ago, plus our parents'stuff. I also found a whole load of double white fitted sheets, and I rather suspect superkings and queens, so I'm going to sort out the rest of the bedding at the same time. And clothes, including swimming costumes. They've been up there for a year or three so I need to try them on and keep anything that I like that fits, which I fear won't be very many. Plus a paddling pool and pump which can go, which I bought whoopsied from L!dl a couple of years ago for Layla but she won't ever want to use, and aprons and tea towels. My mother had hundreds of tea towels and in the end I used them as packing material for breakables. I'm a bit a tea toweled out, to be honest. I think most of this lot are Belovéd's but they've been up there for 20 years so if he doesn't love them someone else can use them. But all of that's for tomorrow, because I'm better in the mornings, so that's tomorrow morning's job.Right now I need to go and water some more plants and make some fishcakes for tonight, and see if I can spiralise a sweet potato to go with them. Those and peas should be a very satisfactory supper.Better is good enough.7

Things are a bit tense here, DH got in late and heated himself up lasagne out of the freezer for tea and cooked some oven chips to go with it. Turns out I had labelled it wrongly and it was veg lasagne not meat. DH doesnt do veg, so thats a good portion of lasagne wasted and DH in a grump.
Full day at the paid stuff, managed a little walk at lunch time, have hoovered everywhere.
Mademoiselle love the picture you paint, and I am trying to spend less time on my phone too, with varying degrees of success.

Evening all,YL have a hug. They really are from Mars and we are from Venus xx
Busy day at work. I managed to sell some eggs and visit the market before work. I walked the dog then did the school run this afternoon, I've got two FB marketplace items to package up to post in the morning and I've unloaded a very full DW. More eggs sales to deliver after work tomorrow and then it's swimming and football. And I wonder why I'm always tired!Re decluttering. Having been in 'charge' of sorting out the possessions of three relatives including my dad who died at the age of 46 when I was 22, I now keep very little. I felt the burden of dealing with those possessions for a very long time. I sell the odd bit on FB but most I give away now, or exchange for something eg we 'sold' an LOL doll of DDs in exchange for some Maltesers 😂🤩10 -
I have cleaned the kitchen, cleaned the bathroom, put chicken thighs to marinade for tomorrow's tea/freezer, delivered an afternoon tea, sat in the garden, been to Mr L and Mr M.

Work was busy but less stressful than yesterday. Between shifts I did two dog walks, cleaned the insides of downstairs windows and sills, scrubbed inside of front door and properly cleaned the kitchen sink.
Have just had a lovely soak in the bath so I'm relaxing now.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Evening all. I haven't done much today because my head was reacting to Covid jab no.2 which I had yesterday. I managed to stay awake for a Z00m meeting this morning but then went back to bed for an hour before lunch, and I dozed on the sofa for most of the afternoon. Glad to say that apart from a sore arm I'm feeling better this evening: I have managed to take Rosie for a short walk, water the lawn (seed still not germinated grrr!), cleaned DH's ensuite again (gross!!!) and cook a scratch tea using up most of a pack of grotty frozen stir-fry veg. I definitely won't be buying them again Then a phonecall with an old school friend - we enjoy a catch-up about once a month.
Welcome back Mademoiselle
High five to pigpen re the WM and printer
asb, have the new hens settled in well?
I need to persuade DH to take me out to lunch tomorrow, perhaps to the forest, just to get out of the house.

Today we have..2 x WM1 x TD2x DWKitchen swept.WM installed.. old one hoofed outside..half of the girls school clothes sorted.. I was looking for trousers for Dot and put everything which didn't fit in a box as I came across it. There is a lot which still needs taking out of the cupboard but it is looking a tiny bit tidier.
Lots of tools/paint shimmied down to the shed..Pack ups made.
OH fixed the weather bar back onto the back door after the delivery guys smashed it off.. *TUT*
DS1's DR's form completed.. I will get that posted tomorrow when I post ebeasty stuff.Ordered puppy mats for Hazel.. She is using the front door as a toilet so it is much more pleasant to have a few puppy mats there than to keep having to scrape up poops.. I am washing the carpet every few days, it is nasty!Uniforms found.. Dot needs to locate her trainers for PE tomorrow and I need some more HF meds.. my head is all gluey again.
The car is booked for a valet on Saturday.. it smells like a food waste bin.. rotting apple cores and mould and armpits.. it is nasty.. it hasn't had a proper clean and OH thinks it is a bin on wheels.. the steering wheel I scrubbed, it was thick black slime from his dirty greasy hands and he has never thought to clean it..
We are meant to be having the front solar panels netted off tomorrow (freebie!!.. I am absolutely not saying no!) .. we have at least 3 rat birds living under them and one is in the loft.. I am so done with the gross stinking things.. They mentioned replacing the gutter and fascia and soffits too but we will see.. that sounds like a lot of work for a few hours. I am bobbling round to my mothers after school.. OH can do dinner.. I need to see her tiny woofer (I will get you all a pic!) and the new window she had put in today.
Oooh Iona.. I would love to go out for dinner.. but it is way too cold to be sat outside.. *shivers at the thought!*
Friday... which has come around again VERY quickly.. it will be half term again in 5 minutes and OH is back at work on the 15th.. I am NOT happy and he isn't best pleased either.. but has he looked for another job?? Has he heck...
OH has the plastic tubs collection to sort and make neat and tidy.OH can sort stuff in the garden to go to the tip.. *add hose to the long long long shopping list!!*
I have ebeasting.. I have got most of the pics off my phone so I am going to put the ebeast ones all in a folder together and sort out what I can delete and I will then delete them from my phone to declutter that. I have 3 years of ebeast photos on there.. it is an awful lot and some are duplicates.
