Morning xx
It was last Thursday that everything started to go sh**shaped. So I'm hoping this is the beginning of a less soap opera worthy week.
Dad phoned me last night from the hospital- which was very reassuring. Barbara is his designated visitor and that suits me because parking at the hospital is a nightmare. You all know me and parking 🙂
My vision is still improving. I've named the large floater hovering on my eye Boris the Spider. It's not too bad when he sits quietly in his web, but he has a habit of dropping into my line of sight which is annoying. Hopefully he will disintegrate and disappear soon. Dr said I could drive so I had a little test drive to my brother's- literally quarter of a mile in a straight line but it was fine.
I'm going to work tomorrow. I've discussed with Mrs Boss Lady and said I that I will take regular breaks from the computer screen and experiment with lights off, screen brightness, size of font etc. Then we'll go from there. If it's too much I'll come home again. Sometimes you just have to suck it and see.
Pizza won last night. And I accidentally ordered chips too. And onion rings. And garlic sauce. 😊. And as I'd only eaten toast during the day I was hungry and thoroughly enjoyed it all.
I'm going to flutter today. Light duties only. Toast and a second brew first. Then chase up the Gas Safety Certificate that has not arrived. Get dressed and QH Admin - softly, softly. Golly I can remember when that was on telly.
My solution to problematic OHs is always the same: get rid and get a budgie. 😉
Have a good day.
Rxx
PS. Valli - are you going to have your eyes checked out? Or is it hayfever? Look after yourself xxIT ONLY TAKES SMALL DAILY ACTIONSFOR MAGIC TO HAPPENRosemary Ikpeme7 -
Valli.. my eyeballs are made of glue.. and my brain is oozing jelly worms! I was up at 5 with a weird nosebleed.. I veryvery rarely have nosebleeds but they are always reall far back, linked to my hayfever and I bleed into my throat.. so that was fun at 5am.
Kaz.. I ebeast on my phone and that is just the same.. I will go look on the laptop and see if it makes any sense.. they are lunatics and changing stuff just to annoy people now. The private sellers are being totally pushed out moreso than they were before. My daughter is trying out Vinted but I don't like their listing process and my phone refuses to upload pics to the laptop which make it all very difficult.
WM is being delivered 11-12ish.. I have the girls winter coats to run through a wash and the summer coats to freshen up..
OH is helping fit my mothers new window 9:30 until it is done..I need to change opticians appointment or sort something.DW needs to go on,I need to find a gp for ds1.. yes he is nearly 30 but if i dont do it he wont..and it is still my job. I want to change mine too I think.. if I can.. my weirdness interferes with such things.Done this.. I need to print off some forms and get him to sign them before he goes to work.
Ordered a 3m printer lead.. the one with the printer is about 30cm long and utterly useless..3 ebeast items to package and post once my postage bags get here.. I had to order those yesterday too! cutting ti fine, I have 1 left haha!
ah.. I forgot the printer was refusing to work on the new laptop... I shall see what I can sort..

Hi guys, reading along just not posting, get well soon to all the poorlies. My OH is having lots of phone appointments and no treatment yet.
Round, you made me laugh naming your floater Boris the Spider, this is my Boris had him since 2007 he's a salmon pink birdeater

Round - it's hayfever (though I am due an eye test) and they 'gunge' up (I am choosing my words carefully lol). I have to double wash my eyelashes in a morning! And that's with antihistamines.
Ma's birthday today so I have to get on with flying and will go there later, with a gift and delivering on behalf of the offspring too.
Washing on line.

nmm - 10 inch leg span!!! I Googled lol. Your Boris is definitely bigger than my Boris. Much love and flylady dust to you and your OH ❤
I've chased up the gas safety certificate- delayed by covid and staff working at home. Would that be why I still haven't received last year's? I didn't ask. Obviously I wasn't on the ball last year. My new system is working 🙂
I've showered, got dressed and set WM swishing. Brought the emptied bin in from the gate, fed the birds and put out the recycling.
Oh is this an omen of a better week? A bar of chocolate through the post, from an internet provider. They're digging up all the village pavements and laying something- I expect it's something to do with that. I'll let other people test it out before I think about switching. But I'll eat the chocolate, thank you very much.

*gets out a very big fluffy mule*
That is actually preferable to the 'other boris' now I think about it..
WM outside.. I have broken a nail and think i may have broken a finger a little bit.. it's only twice the size of the other one lol Boog helped a bit but I did the majority myself. I shovelled and swept the gap.. then stored some cats in it.
FINALLY got my printer to work.. took 1.5 hours to get the antivirus to allow the driver to install.. The package was unzipping and the AV was deleting it.. but I have now got the forms filled out and printed off for DS1 to register with a GP... mummy did it... he is 30 in September!
I have got the dryer on with the socks and bits, put the white stuff in the remaining washer and the darks in the basket. I need to load the DW so the sides are clearer.
OH is still at my mothers.. her window looks nice though
EEK... half an hour.... I best run.. I knew they would ring to say they were on their way the second I thought about lunch!!!

Well done, Round. To be sure, chocolate through the letterbox must mean a better week ahead 😉
I actually had permission to change DD’s bedding and vacuum her floor. Her determination to be independent didn’t run that far, and on one leg, I can’t blame her! Upstairs vacuumed through, gert big cobwebs removed. They aren’t recent....oops. Bathroom cleaned, ensuite and downstairs cloakroom given a s&s. 2 loads of washing out on the line. This is the most flying I have done for weeks.
I’m having a sit down with a raggle-taggle lunch of fridge ends. I will not be throwing food away..stamps foot.
Off to pick up DD shortly, then it will be off to the surgery to get her dressings looked at again.8 -

New WM in the kitchen.. OH removing the bolts and bars etc.. I'm making a cuppa..
TD been on and dry dtuff folded, recycling out, table cleared, DW on, kitchen swept though that was pointless as it is now covered in polystyrene snow.. that can go straight in the boot and go to the tip tomorrow. OH turned up just as I had heaved it to the kitchen and was unwrapping it.
So much to do but the kitchen looks a bit less grim.
