I am a private seller and used to be offered 2 x 100 free listings generally twice a month and usually via the lovely Alison who posts on here.
Nothing last month or this.
Is this the new standard and shall I just get used to it!0 -
Soolin has a theory that only sellers who are on the managed payments system are offered these nowadays.
My DH, who is not on managed payments, last had an offer a couple of months ago.
My account didn't have any during February and most of March but I then received an offer just before I went onto managed payments and have had an offer since then.0 -

It was a good theory as well while it lasted !olgadapolga said:Soolin has a theory that only sellers who are on the managed payments system are offered these nowadays.

However we have had one person report on here (and I think it is just one) who has had the offer and has not been moved to managed payments- nor was moved immediately afterwards.
I would be interested though if anyone else is getting offers who is not on managed payments - and if they do get an offer whether it is followed after a short period by the move to MP.
I have just out of interest started using a second private account a bit, just a few items and all less than £10 including postage so that I had 2 accounts to watch- and neither now has had an offer for months. Both are still on paypal.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I have two accounts. Neither on managed payments. I get all the offers on one account but not the other.

Bang goes my theory completely then. I will wait to see if I get anything on either of my private accounts and if so whether it is the lightly used one, or the one I use more often.patriciaellen said:I have two accounts. To be honest it does seem like they worked at the promotional offer a bit. I used to get it every 2 weeks most of the time for the past 2 years. It's highly unlikely that I stopped getting it now in almsot 2 months just like that. Maybe they lowered the chance of getting the promotion based on some other criteria.@soolin It was a good theory tho'2
