Is anyone actually selling anything? No one is even looking at my stuff. I guess the gorgeous weather, the football and lockdown easing means no one is sat around looking for stuff on eBay. Boohiss!0

Ebay has tailed off for me but in fairness I’ve closed my shop on my business account and have been concentrating on getting established on specialist sites as a seller. However, I ended all my BIN listings in both my private accounts and relisted them to take advantage of this new offer and have already made 2 sales, I think I had let mine go stale due to laziness.mimi1234 said:Is anyone actually selling anything? Good luck with the Soolin. Hope you make it big on the specialist sites.0

Soolin, are we allowed to do that? Not sure why I got it in my head that ending a listing and relisting the same would go against me.soolin said:

I do a similar thing but don't use the "relist" facility, I use the "sell similar". Seems to result in the same process as "relist. No idea if it affects anything but I've not had a problem yet, I get the discounted fees.kalsha said:

There is nothing at all in the rules to say you cannot, after all BINs are good till cancelled and even ebay can’t insist that once you list something it stays there forever. I just end all my listings in bulk, then re list in bulk (occasionally I change a price or update a description) . Ebay always said that having BINs GTC resulted in more sales, but certainly for my private sales which are all unique unwanted type of items they rarely sell if I leave them listed for too long, since re listing them all yesterday I have made 3 sales and 2 of those items had been listed for months.olgadapolga said:

Boohiss!Anecdotally using ‘sell similar’ results in more sales as it fools the metrics into seeing a brand newly listed item, but I’m too lazy even with the few listings I have . I will start clearing out the stuck items on my private account soon, relist as a similar item and delete anything that’s been listed for too long with no interest, but I’ll make use of this FVF offer and leave them alone for a month now.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. There is nothing wrong in ending and relisting, this is better than sell similar if you have watchers as they are notified of the relist.0

If you are using seller hub you can sell similar in bulk same as relist, should be a button at the top of the ended and unsold views.soolin said:kalsha said:

eBay recommend you keep things fresh so ending listings and putting up new ones is not only OK but recommended by eBay.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0
