The other way round, you will be charged 20% of the actual FVF plus 30psham63 said:I’ve received the 80% off fees offer. The small print says “ Offer excludes the 30p order fee for private sellers activated to managed payments” - so it’s 80% plus 30p.......I hope they stick with the £1 fvf offers.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. So if an item sells for £10 then it should be a £1.29 plus 30p fee, so £1.59.
Max £1 fees would be £1.
80% off the FVF would be 26p plus 30p so 56p. Much better than the £1 offer.0 -
Viewing my ph ebay app they state the offer today of 80% off variable percentage FVF fees ie. not the fixed 30p fee as thats still payable on top of the variable fee.
Ebay terms and conds puts it this way ...
On managed payments which this offer requires .You would have payed 12.80% on total sales amount plus 30p.
This offer is effectively 80% off the FVF which is 2.56% (you pay 20% of 12.80%) then you add the fixed fee of 30p
Last year through summer they had 2% and 5% offers so this is good (as stated above by another poster for low value items )

Has anyone done this?
Went through the registration, went back to activate the offer and it said Unfortunately, this promotional offer is not available to you despite getting the offer in My Messages.
Maybe it takes a while for the system to recognise you've registered?
Edit to say the promo worked, took about 10 minutes or so to be able to accept the promo offer. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
Sorry I am being really thick (I have a degree in Accountancy too!). Can someone explain the 80% off FVF fee to me.
So if something sells for £100 and I am using the 80% off FVF thing, how much would I end up paying and can you run me through the calculation. Thanks a lot.0 -
Work out the normal fee first, so 12.8% of the total including postage. You will pay 20% of that fee plus 30p .mimi1234 said:Sorry I am being really thick (I have a degree in Accountancy too!). Can someone explain the 80% off FVF fee to me.

The offer states the promo FVF is 2.56% plus 30p so on a £100 sale including postage the selling fee would be £2.86.mimi1234 said:Sorry I am being really thick (I have a degree in Accountancy too!). Can someone explain the 80% off FVF fee to me.

It was quite late last time, so like Samjeff11 says we might hear tomorrow or even as late as Friday.mimi1234 said:Has anyone had any communication about the next £1FVF or 80% off FVF event yet?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
