throw some blueberries and bananas and a teaspoon of honey in to your porridge , it makes it much more palatable and may keep you fuller for longer.

I really like raspberries in porridge. Plus it turns the whole thing slightly pink which appeals to my inner 5 year old.Bottom line;

Was the porridge nicer than usual? I think fruit and veggies will never make you feel full but chewing on a large salad for 20 minutes might trick you!Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

I’m like you @MissRikkiC been an avid exerciser all my life and actually enjoy it. It really does make you feel happier. My spare room is full of gym equipment, although I’m running outdoors while the mornings are light rather than on the treadmill.Glad you didn’t starve to death after all @WinterWarrior 😆 I had overnight oats for my breakfast made from blueberries, strawberries, 30g of porridge oats mixed up with Skyr natural yoghurt and left overnight. As Skyr is a tad thick you could stand your spoon up in it this morning 🤣 but it was very nice and hit the spot.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

I also LOVE overnight oats - if you havent tried them before @WinterWarrior give it a go. I like a grated carrot (all the water squeexed out), cinnamon and a touch of syrup or vanilla essence in mine ... Carrot Cake Oats

I haven’t tried overnight oats, but I will. I normally do have honey on porridge, but was having it nude and then a pile of mixed fruit for lunch.
I used to walk a lot until dog got old, now it’s so difficult to find the time somehow ☹️ Weekdays feel like it’s all desk, cooking, bed!Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I am an avid exerciser, don't do the gym it bores me rigid ,but love classes, Spin, Body Pump, Body Attack ,really get the buzz and the endorphin high afterwards. I am probably unusual in as much as I have my evening meal at 7.00pm then don't eat anything until lunch next day. I often do two back to back classes in the morning as well. I always used to have breakfast, usually porridge but found with doing classes it made me feel really sick so decided I would eat afterwards. However afterwards I didn't feel hungry so left it until lunchtime.
I have no idea why it works but I never feel hungry in the morning at all. I am glad when its lunchtime but never starving. I only started missing breakfast during the first lockdown when I was doing online classes.
I eat fairly healthily most of the time and make sure each meal has a good portion of protein to keep me full, and I do like cake but try not to go overboard with it.
At the end of the day its what works for you, if I woke up hungry I would probably rethink it but while I feel fine this method obviously works for me.2 -
I am wondering if you are having any protein with your fruit/salad/vegetables @WinterWarrior I find having some protein helps me feel fuller for longer.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

I haven’t today, but will be having lean chicken (in a fajita mix with peppers and onions) on rice when it’s cooked. More or less following sw has worked in the past (I say more or less as the fajita mix obviously has points) so I’ll see how it goes. Weight loss is always slow for me so it may take months to lose this stone…I do appreciate it would go faster if I had more time to move, but between 8.5 and 9.5 hours of my day is chained to a desk, then cooking, then I’m done and don’t really want to be dragging myself up any earlier ☹️ Self sabotage at its finest 🤣
I’m always amazed at how you all fit exercise in, but I guess where there’s a will there’s a way.Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

You do really long hours 😱 I do between 7.5 and 8 spread over 5 days. Even if you could fit in 10 minutes exercise it would be better than nothing. I do mine over the course of a day in short bursts - 30 mins walk or run before I log on, 20 mins walk with the dog at lunchtime then a 20 mins HIIT or yoga session after work. I try to get up and walk about once an hour, meetings/workload permitting.
Better to lose the weight slowly though rather than lose it quickly then put it back on again.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1
