redofromstart said:@KajiKita I was seduced by the idea of nice smelling cleaning stuff with refillable (metal) spray bottles. The little refill bottles are glass. Readily available in stupidmarket and regularly on offer.Mr Redo really likes the metal spray bottles for his projects so I ended up buying some spares for him too.KKAs at 15.07.25:

@WinterWarrior if you look on Tesco and search Neat then you should be able to see most of their products. Similar to P&F but metal spray bottles which is better for clumsy me. The violet shower spray is my favourite. We also have the foaming hand wash which is reasonable on offer and has a nice dispenser. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Happy August! My week off is sadly flying by 😢
i did the money shuffle yesterday and we went to the middle of nowhere bakery and came home with a haul of buns and pies. So far, mixed reviews! The sausage rolls are excellent, but the giant Viennese whirl got a thumbs down. It looked fantastic, but the pretend cream was weird, the chocolate dipped lining was too dark and bitter for me and the biscuit itself was short and crumbly, but flavourless. Most is going outside for the seagull today. The biscoff highland cow giant French fancy was very good, although I did leave some icing as it was so thick and sweet it could send you into a diabetic coma all on its own 😅 I still have some other bits to try. MrWW’s lemon drizzle was excellent 👌
I’ve been managing my 10k + steps easily without work getting in the way.
Today will be a relaxing going nowhere day, which is good for reducing spending and I can get some washing in.
Evri have several parcels in their black hole now, including dogs treats and the purdy cleaning things 😖
i hope you all have a lovely day ☀️Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

It’s so disappointing when a lovely looking cake doesn’t taste as good as it looks. I love the look of a lot of those fancy cup cakes but I haven’t found any I like yet…..I end up scraping the icing off.January spends - £587.581

Well, that’s my week off almost done…boo 😢
We haven’t done anything spectacular, but it’s been lovely to potter about in my own time with no real structure. I have mostly been walking about and eating 😬 I have gone up half a pound over the week, which I will hopefully lose once I’m back to normal.I’ve done a fair bit of spending….who on earth said ‘no spend august’, was it really me? Can ‘no spend rest of august’ be a thing? I haven’t adjusted my budget, so I just have a lot less to play with, which will be fine if I get a grip! I have stocked up on nice things, so nothing else is needed. This weekend I ordered a selection of sugar free syrups to try and jazz up my coffee (coffee shop style), without increasing calories or needing to get a fancy one at great cost, 4 new hot water bottles ready for winter (I was reading about someone who got 3rd degree burns from a bottle bursting and how you can check the age of your bottles and how they should be replaced every 3 or 4 years). We have 2 each in midwinter so I have chucked the old ones and am getting prepared for winter. It saved us a fortune in heating oil when we swapped to bottles, so it’s spending a little to save a lot and hopefully keep us safe from burst bottles. Then I bought 2 sets of 6 pottery dishes for the cats food. They need to be dishwasher safe, plastic free, shallow enough not to cause whisker stress and enough so we have clean ones every day while yesterdays are in the dishwasher. We have unfortunately had a spate of breakages recently. The ones I got are like tapas style with lovely patterns…i hope the boys are appreciative 🤭
Today I plan a trip to L*dl for a small food shop and to get my steps in…not much else!I hope you all have a lovely Sunday full of all the good things you deserve ☀️✨Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

How shallow do cat bowls need to be to not cause whisker stress? Not something I have ever thought of before… 🤔 Those bowls sound lovely - I’m always a sucker for interesting decoration on dishes 😊
