It's always the way with decorating. We've just had downstairs utility/toilet painted and put new lino down and in October having front room and kitchen painted.

How wonderful that must be! Our ceilings are wallpapered with bumpy wallpaper, the walls seem to be boarded and taped rather than skimmed.
