Just catching up and veered to have a look at hod, such pretty things on there.
Hoping you have had a productive day in the office or with the furries, I'll be having DDS pup in a couple of weeks for a visit so whilst out today some doggie treats just happened to jump in my hand😁
I was thinking of you and the pds, one of the dgd has a few and in the last couple of months has won one £500 and recently another £25. The DD just buys more bonds as dgd is only 10years to it's certainly better than interest rates😃£1 a day 2025: £90.00/365 Xmas fund1 -
good morning and happy Saturday 🌞
It’s been such a busy week. The roofers came to do the flat roof, with no notice! Just rocked up…imagine if I’d have been working away from home 🙄. It took 2 days and the roof was indeed rotten, but has been replaced and with lots of insulation, but sadly the inside is just plain board with gaps and loads of screws showing. I thought when we asked for the inside doing it would be finished to look like a ceiling, but apparently ‘not at that price’ 😖 It’s not even something they do, but as we’re not roofers we didn’t realise the description on the quote meant glaringly unfinished! I will learn how to sort it when I decorate that room.I risked ordering a chair for my office from am@zn as it was such a bargain, but then got a message from the market place seller asking me to cancel as they couldn’t fulfil the order. They said stock was damaged, but I suspect they found out it would cost a lot to deliver here. I have followed the instructions, but now have to wait 3 or 4 days for the refund. It’s so annoying that they take money instantly, but never send it back as quickly. I won’t risk that again and will order from a proper shop (but dearer) when the money returns. It’s actually a chair for the cats to sit in so I didn’t want to pay more than £200 for something to look good, but really be for cats 😬
The plumber bill finally came in, they had the wrong email on file (despite me chasing them from the correct email), so at least one thing is paid. I’ll be glad to settle the other invoices, but it’s been very spendy and I’ll be sad to see the lovely money go 😢 Once the chair is sorted I will need to dial down the spending as it’s been rather an expensive time. For the next few months I won’t be saving much as I have a lot of decorating to get through, but it will all be done with normal wages. So much better than how it used to be.
Today will be a decorating day.
MrWW treated me to a new shredder and it came yesterday. It’s amazing! I love it 🤣 it takes lots of pages at once, runs for ages and doesn’t complain. I’ll get my backlog cleared in days rather than months now.

Frustrating about the roof and the chair! Hope you manage to get both sorted.
