  • Are you actually eatting enough calories? Unless you are shorter than average or too small already that is not going to be enough to live on weight watching or not. Your body sometimes goes into shock mode and hangs on to all the fat if you starve yourself too much as it thinks it's never getting food again. Mines in permanent shock mode or maybe I just over eat 🤣🤣

  • Lol, sadly 1200 is the recommended for average women…but I do go a bit over. They say 2000 to stay the same, but from bitter experience anything over 1600 has me piling it back on 😖 I don’t move very much with my desk job.

  • NHS website has recommended calories for losing with its BMI calculator I think.

1422 cals for the lower end of the scale (which it recommends to aim for to lose 1-2 lbs per week), so I’m not far off. MyFitnessPal says 1200.

  • I’m a WW gold member, have been at goal for 20 years after years of struggling with various diets. For my workday lunches I make a batch of soup on a Sunday and make sure it has either lentils or chickpeas/other beans in it so I get my protein. It fills me up because I’m eating with a spoon and it seems more substantial. I tend to fill up on loads of veg or salad with only small portions of anything else. It takes a while to get used to it and have the right mindset. You need to make healthy choices, certainly don’t starve yourself or deprive yourself of the odd treat or you’ll set yourself up for a fall. You need to look at it as changing the way you eat for good not as a diet. You’ll get there if you’re determined.
So very sensible, but (lip trembles) I really love chocolate and crisps 😢

It sounds horrible @WinterWarrior Hopefully soon your bosy will stop feeling hungry - I had a colleague in an old job who said it took about a week and then it was a lot easier.  Although I'm not sure if that is just starvation mode and then everything you eat goes to fat!
