That sounds so yummy, where would I find the cheese scone topping recipe (that would be my favourite bit 😂)Deni_debt-free_dreamer said:Afternoon WinterWarrior and friends
Loved all the talk of various gins !
I have a fab recipe for sprout curry but maybe not to everyone's taste
I often make veg hotpot with a cheese scone topping just add potatoes, leek and carrot (can add mushrooms but i don't like them) into a pan where you've fried some onion and garlic then add veg stock and tin of chopped tomatoes, bring to the boil then can simmer on the hob or put in the oven, 5 mins before ready add a tin of mixed beans in chilli sauce. Could serve with veggie sausages too. I made that for my parents yesterday and have leftovers for the weekend

Off out for a drink tonight with a fellow Single Mum, the last time we went out was March 2020! Marking before I go to get it done before the w/e 🎉2 -
Have a fabulous time @elbree 🥂
I make dumplings to top off stew by mixing equal parts fat free natural yoghurt and SR flour and add some herbs and grated cheese before mixing into a dough. I must admit they are definitely my favourite part 😋I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2 -
The dumplings sound so good.
Have a fabulous time @elbree 🎉
yes @Kakiste he’s definitely a bit ranty and I’m not keen on his selling his financial peace university places to people already struggling. However some of his straight talking is pure gold and I wish I’d been told those things before I got tied to a loser 😖 (not MrWW I hasten to add). Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

scones are basically half fat to flour - so 8oz SR flour and 4oz fat (marg or butter or st0rk); rub together till resembles breadcrumbs, grate plenty of cheese into the mixture (i love cheese), add a bit of milk to make it stick together in a big ball, i then put it in the fridge for half an hour (in clingfilm or an environmentally friendly alternative). Then roll it out to about an inch thick using a bit more flour so the rolling pin doesn't stick. I then bake it separately from the hotpot.elbree said:
