  • Not unless we collect it…more trouble than it’s worth!
    I was just laughing at the Dave Ramsey post of the day… Live on less than you make. Act your wage.
    Such straight talking 😁

  • I got the act your wage one on one of my stickers. I used to watch Dave Ramsey but his god worshiping belittling general a hole personality really started to bug me.

    I tune out the goddy bits. I quite like his straight talking, but he does struggle to see any other way than his own. I don’t need converting and I personally can’t do the combine your income with your partner thing as I’ve been scarred for life previously with that! But there’s still a lot of sense buried in there.

  • Yes alot of good sense but such an awful man giving it 🤣🤣
    As for combining income each to there own. It works for us but I can see the advantages of doing it singularly also. We have both been burnt majorly in the past but we're forced into a joint account by being given a joint cheque as a wedding gift. We could have asked it to be re written but would have felt rude. The main thing is do what works for you not what others think you should do.

  • That would work with some lentils as well @Deni_debt-free_dreamer instead of the chilli beans. Sounds nice thank you

    I really like Dave Ramsey's general message (so I follow him on twitter) but the actual radio show and podcasts I can't stand. Ranting and shouting men is not my idea of fun. Also over American stereotypical bible bashing is too much, I say that as someone who goes to church every Sunday! The actual services at my church aren't quite as extreme as some of his podcasts! :smiley:
    Bottom line;
    £49k paid off
    Car HP paid off
    Debt Free!
    Saved Escape fund and moved out.

    Current focus; saving Emergency fund
  • No I doubt they are @Kakiste
    I also don't like his double standards. Insists on people saying what they earn but when Ramsey employees go on he says they not allowed to say.
