  • I do enjoy a hot choc on the odd cold evening after dinner.
Redo we use a stove top coffee pot much as I would like a bean to cup machine I can't justify the cost.

I’m late again but you MUST try a hotel choc hot choc ! They use hot milk and pure grated chocolate, it’s drinking melted chocolate - you need to drink it hot or the chocolate sets ……
Ooh that sounds so good! Maybe I need a velvetiser? I wonder if that’s as good?
Asda/Aldi do a knock off velvetiser (I’ve had one but gave it away and it made it nice) but I’ve the same results with hot milk and a whisk !

  • Good morning and happy Monday ☕️🍫📚 day off today…hurrah!
I ended up spending yesterday as I was short on material for the quilt. It’s always the way with odd cuts from patterns. I thought I’d over ordered, but clearly not. I was happy to pay the extra, but it looks like mum sent it over anyway, which was nice. I was fully expecting a family commission to cost me some money as well as time 😁
I’ve been pondering eating less meat. We tend to have a lot of chicken and occasional mince, but not much on the red meat front. I did go vegetarian in my youth for a year, but found it harder when I was cooking for two, so slid back. I didn’t have any meat yesterday, so I’m thinking maybe I’ll try say 4 or 5 days a week without meat and see how I go. I think MrWW is open to more vege meals to be healthy, although I doubt he’d give up bacon or chicken completely. He doesn’t like cheese, which is a big hurdle. I love cheese!
We may go out for lunch today….I will report back!
I hope you all have wonderful Mondays filled with hardly any work and lots of the good stuff 🪄☕️🍫📚

Lovely to have a day off! I couldn't imagine being a vegetarian.  I try to do one meat free meal a week. We eat a lot of chicken.  MrM used to have terrible IBS and a white meat diet was better for him. Turns out the IBS was linked to his migraines. Once we got the correct medication the stomach issues mainly resolved too although he is a delicate little flower 🤣

  • @Naomim I think they all are. The most delicate flowers tend to be the ones that don’t cook for themselves. I’m convinced they’d get more of a grip if they had to do all the messing about with the catering for themselves 🤣

Very true! If I'm not here to cook then it's takeaway or a visit to his Mums every time. 🤦‍♀️
