It’s really like a poor tax when they charge you extra to pay monthly because you can’t afford to pay in one go. Each thing I can pay in one yearly payment is saving me £20+. When I was really struggling every single thing cost more. Even silly things like buying cat litter and pet food in bulk saves money. Some places must lose a lot of potential customers by charging more to pay monthly, particularly non essential things. All my magazines are either on cheap subscription or paid for by Mr T Clubcard points. The cover price of a monthly magazine in a shop is extortionate. I don’t like reading them online so it wouldn’t pay me to have something like Readily. I have a delivery pass for groceries too which saves me a fortune.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Another here who realised a couple of years ago that Prime is much more economical to pay annually. I have a pot for Prime and save £7 a month which easily covers the annual cost so that nearly £1 less than paying monthly.

We pay prime annually too. It's so frustrating that those who most need the discounts are those least likely to be able to manage them."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3
