Went to DS’s for Xmas lunch this year. It’s strange not having any leftover turkey, ham or pork to eat. Think new year day will do another Xmas dinner for me and OH, as I have most of the veg in.xx

Evening
Today I took DD2 to the station and did a bit of shopping; i hadn't bought a present for one friend who i haven't yet seen over the festive period but water - stone bookshop had hardback books all half price so i bought her a book for a tenner -very happy with that Also bought half price xmas cards in the charity shop.  Both DDs are away now so it's just me and the cats - I'm making myself a jac pot for tea then going to watch the travel man on his trip to Iceland (not the shop;) & dream about the day i can afford an icy adventure

I haven't any leftovers as such but today when dd3 came for pup (boo boo) I sent her home with sweet biscuits and other goodies as I'm only eating them cos they are there and my waistband feels tighter! Lol

Agreed! Turkey and stuffing sandwiches is actually my favourite part of Christmas food 😂

Good morning and happy Tuesday 🍫☕️📚
I was up at 4.30am in my jamas and big coat while dog had an emergency wee, roll in the crispy leaves and a poo for good measure. Then she came onto our bed and starfished on top of me for a few hours…it’s no joke with a dog built like a Pygmy hippo 😬
I must try and do something today, maybe I’ll take dog for her drive. We watched the first few ‘around the world in 80 days’ which were really good and then a new marvel film on Disney yesterday. We really enjoyed both, even though I can’t remember the film name…something to do with rings 🤣
I love lazy days, but start to panic about how many I have left as I don’t want to waste them. I need to do some more 2022 financial planning …and stick to it.

Oooh i would like to watch Around the World as i love David Tennant and the ads looked good; thanks for the recommendation  
My cats often wake my DDs up in the early hours (then they wake me up!) but when my DDs are not here (boohoo) i never hear the cats & they don't often leave any presents .....   
I feel the need to be productive today too!  I haven't put away any of our presents and i haven't properly looked through mine since i opened them; i got an electric toothbrush which is still in its box.  I would like to make some soup today so need to buy more red peppers.  I also noticed Jane Eyre is on TV all afternoon which is very tempting...
I have done some financial planning though from the comfort of my bed I've applied for another online saver account to save towards mortgage overpayments and applied to join the mortgage free wannabee thread.
