Good morning and happy Sunday ☕️☕️☕️📚🍫
I will take dog for her Sunday drive this morning. It’s been really wet and the river is very high up, so we might see some fields flooded and very wet roads, as there’s no drainage apart from the fields.
I have lots of wrapping to do as the poor postman has been bringing a steady stream of festive purchases 🤭, there are still a few waiting to land. I just have 2 more to get, some money to give and then the postage…then it will be done! Maybe another £130-£150 depending on postage. Not great, but I’m thankful I don’t have loads of people to buy for or it would be loads worse. Next year I plan to have a fully funded pot for this and will aim to have £600 in it. I have started the 2022 pot already and have £20 in it to start it off.I got the kitchen and utility scrubbing done yesterday, so it’s nice and shiny and we just need to keep up to it.
I hope you all have fabulous Sundays filled with all good things 🍫📚☕️Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

£600 for Christmas is what I aim to have saved. I don’t have many to buy for and we don’t get special food in we wouldn’t normally eat. There’s a sealed pot challenge on here, they’ve already started off next year’s savings. I made a good start by buying a few presents but seem to have come to a standstill.Enjoy your Sunday drive.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

morning
I've previously done the sealed pot challenge and also the one to save £2 coins, did both to save for xmas - definitely worthwhileThis year i'm using my survey winnings towards xmas, just withdrew £211 from PA and used some of it for theatre tickets for boxing day.
I've got loads of xmas shopping still to do. I don't have lots of people to buy for mainly 2 x DDs and their partners plus a couple of friends and a few family but i haven't done much at all!!
happy sunday (goes off to do some online shopping .....) xx

I usually start around July/August saving in a separate pot, but I usually give dgc the same amounts (I have six!) My dds the same amounts and then their other halves the same amounts, so no favourites!! I also save it in an envelope for each family, and put on the front how much I put in as I save it, gives me a bit of encouragement!

Good morning and happy Monday 🍫📚☕️Some excellent Christmas savings ideas there, thanks everyone.
work today and just ticking along until payday next week. I really don’t want to/can’t spend anything else as November has really gone off the rails.
I hope you all have a marvellous Monday with easy work and plenty of treats 📚☕️🍫Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Pup had me up twice!!!! Any advice welcome WinterWarrior?
Quiet day here, no money spent and a long pup walk took place, just about to have tea and hunker down.

Good morning and happy Tuesday 📚🍫☕️Yesterday I had a run down of my terrible, terrible spending this month and the fact that I have gone backwards!! A new and embarrassing lightbulb moment for me ☹️ So expect a new frugal WW until payday and beyond!I have put together my December plan and will stick to it. I have already bought Decembers pet food, which accounts for, but doesn’t excuse, some of the decline. This is because the regular food and treats for the cats was on a Black Friday deal and saved me over £30. But really I should be in front with these costs and have enough floating to grab early deals without robbing myself. I have got all the presents bar one couple, this will be about £70 in total, but MrWW has promised some money towards all the presents I have bought when he gets paid, so I am holding fast and will use that to cover it, with hopefully a bit left over. I don’t expect him to cover half as most presents are for my friends and family, but a bit towards will help.I have planned in one meal out and a small Christmas treats shop, along with postage for all the presents in December, but other than that, every spare penny will go to building back my savings. Part of the plan is to feed £500 into pb’s straight away, to build towards that magic £4k number and to keep it away from my sticky fingers!
I shall immerse myself in money saving and frugal you tubes at lunch time 😬
I wish you all a tremendous Tuesday full off all good things 📚🍫☕️☕️☕️☕️Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
