  • Good morning and happy Wednesday 🍰📚☕️☕️🍫
I ordered some Christmas presents yesterday, so not a great day for spending. I am about two thirds into Christmas, so not too much left to get. Hopefully it will be all sorted in December so I can concentrate on paying the savings back. This month has been really bad. I can’t wait to be in a better position next year and have a Christmas pot all ready for the occasion. I think it will take me into January to claw back the trickle from savings 😖
I am not looking forward to a 2 hour teams call this morning 🙄
I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday full of all good things and minimal meetings ☕️☕️☕️🍫🍫🍫

Happy Wednesday (throws in chocolate and coffee). I also have a Teams call today, it’s a training session and I have the exciting task of being the chat box monitor 🙂 Strictly no cameras though.

  • I will certainly try without the camera, but if they insist, I did straighten my hair so I look a bit more office and a bit less Albert Einstein 🤭

  • Good morning and happy Thursday 📚☕️🍫
I have been spending again. This month is terrible. We have tiny flies in the house from the leak in the kitchen. They must be in the wall cavity and then coming over the back board in the cupboard. Every time we open the cupboard under the sink some more poddle out. So I have ordered some spray and some sticky fly papers for in the cupboard/over the back and some pretty stick on window flowers to catch the escapees. All the other cupboards are sealed units, but this one has the pipes in.
I’ve had such a bad month with the coffee machine and some of the Christmas presents, I do hope I can pull myself together for December!
I saw a Martin Lewis clip on pb’s and he said with average luck £4K would be better in bonds, but anything less would be better in a savings account with interest. So I either need to pull mine out, or get them to £4K. I think I will try to build them up if I can. It’s something to aim for and I’ll try and treat it as a debt repayment or challenge, and hopefully stop myself going backwards over the next year. So I need to find £2.5k to reach the target.
I hope you all have a tremendous Thursday filled with joy and good things 🍁📚🍫☕️

I have 2 from 1957 that still haven't won me a penny.  Fortunately my much more recent ones are doing better.  Just over the 1% so for a person who isn't lucky (not UNlucky either) I'm doing alright.
