Morning, finishing off tidying the greenhouse today and watering and repotting the many houseplants. Ordered some new strawberry plants and some seeds. Yellow weather warning here so might do some sewing later. DH playing in the garage.

My FiL retired then decided he couldn't bear sitting in watching tv all day so now he delivers prescriptions for the local pharmacy. He enjoys it and it gets him out a few hours a day. My MiL on the other hand would happily sit indoors all day. I'm not sure that apart from not seeing family, that lockdown made any change for her 🤣
I never knew you could defer your state pension! I'm 47 so still a few years off despite having worked for 31 years already.2 -
What I find hardest about state pension is that I’m at the max now and can never increase it, yet I still have to pay for the next 16 years ☹️ I know we pay for current pension people, but wouldn’t it be nice if we at least got a discount once we’d pay the max! Pensions are baffling.

But at least you know you can retire whenever you can manage it without having to pay in more.WinterWarrior said:What I find hardest about state pension is that I’m at the max now and can never increase it, yet I still have to pay for the next 16 years ☹️ I know we pay for current pension people, but wouldn’t it be nice if we at least got a discount once we’d pay the max! Pensions are indeed baffling.
i think this is going to be a good year on Strictly. On a horrid wet dark day like this, we need a bit of sparkle! Also on those days, did we make the right decision not to relocate to Portugal? Still, nothing ever set in stone eh?Carolbee2 -
Indeed we do need more sparkle!
that is true @badmemory, it could always be worse!
@carolbee you did make the right decision 😁 I think I would miss the British weather! Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
