Good morning and happy Friday 🎉😁☕️🧁
just today to get through and then I have a wonderful weekend and 2 glorious days off…hurrah!
Monday is the start of the much celebrated purple planner…as it goes by weeks and I didn’t want to waste odd days, but I have filled in some lists of things to do 😁
Last night we had a rare takeaway. Indian food isn’t my favourite, but not cooking is 🤣 I like the dips and starter bits best. MrWW treated us to the food (and collected it) and I had treated him earlier by ordering him a bargain winter coat, so there were a few payday spends.
I will try to get the October NSD target started today..I don’t think there’s anything I need.
I hope you all have fantastic Fridays filled with magic and happy things ☕️🍫📚🍰🎃Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Happy October SA, I hope you catch the gin thief.
I hope you feel better soon Deni.
Lucky you @carolbee…I need to survive 16 yrs to get to my state pension…unless they move the goalposts again. I really want to retire now 😭 I’ve been working 35 years and I’m so over it now 🤣

WinterWarrior - lucky you starting your new planner, I wish it were me, I love pretty planners. Have a lovely weekend.
Carolbee - are you giving up work when you receive your pension? I was determined to, but when it came to it I couldn't do it!! I'd worked all my life and felt really strange having the option to not work anymore so I carried on for a few months and then saw how much tax I was paying, I didn't realise the state pension was counted as taxable income, one gentleman at the allotment told me he pays more tax now than when he was working, I'm assuming he has really good pensions.
Hoping everyone has a great weekend and all is well in your world's.

@nannygladys perhaps you could ask for one from Santa Claus 🎅🏻
Taxing pensions is shockingly mean, they want you to support yourself and then take it back off you 😟Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

If you aren't going to retire then you can defer your state pension. 5.8% for a full year or 1% every 9 weeks. It may be worth it to you or it may not be.
