I didn’t, they always had a black eyeliner in them for a start, I’m blonde with green eyes so black eyeliner looks too harsh on me. For chocolate advent calendars, how about Lindt or Hotel Chocolat? I’ve got a red wine one on order from Laithwaites, has a half bottle of champagne in it for Christmas Eve 😋WinterWarrior said:I don’t think I’d use everything from a beauty advent calendar. I like the idea of them, but I don’t remember to use most things. M & S have a L’Occitane one, I was just looking for nice chocolate ones on there, but they didn’t have any.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1 -
@Sun_Addict I have had both. I do like the white hotel choc one and I think lindor just pips the gold teddy Lindt one. I was just checking out fortnum & mason, but sadly I won’t stretch to a wooden musical one with chocs at £200 😬 A wine one sounds fun, but I generally only have a glass a week, I’d never keep up 🤣Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Yes @dawnybabes I was at the 4.30 show. I'm fairly local, half hour bus ride away.dawnybabes said:
Ooh was this in Kingston, London ? I was there too for the evening one …..Naomim said:@WinterWarrior it's involved Gary Barlow and gin! We went to see GB play what we thought was an intimate album review but he played lots of old songs too in a 45 minute set. He was no further than 20 feet away from me. Good choice beanie! The Lindor balls only just pipped this one for me. I love the excitement of the teddy one when you get a small reindeer or teddy day 😁 Everyone should have an advent calendar in my humble opinion 😁beanielou said:Ahem.

Good morning and happy Thursday 🧁🍰🍫
Payday, woohoo. Paid back my savings, paid off the oil, ready for the dd’s of October, budgeted for car fuel, a birthday present I need to buy, anything I’m expecting to pay in the month, a tiny bit added to savings..and nothing much left…same old, same old 😬 if I hadn’t stolen from savings I would be having a much nicer October….but I guess I had a nice present filled September instead, so nothing lost!
I had a moment of confusion clearing my card of the heating oil and sweets as the incoming amount (can’t see what it is yet) was more than expected. Then I had a brainwave and realised it would be a pre order book. Checked my email and there it was…£12.99 pre order had landed! So at least I know I’m not being robbed (by anyone other than me!).
I have about £200 for the month, plus £100 I would like to add to savings, but will keep out until the end of the month as a buffer and to stop me doing a raid for anything unexpected. That should be plenty (feel free to add an 🙄 eye roll here, I know you want to 😬)
I hope you all have terrific Thursdays (not terrible, as my predictive text wanted them to be), filled with happiness and all good things ☕️☕️📚📚🍫Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

WW - happy payday and starting your purple journal day

I am definitely having an advent calendar this year, involving chocolate
I think i'm being extravagent if i buy anything from Hotel Choc! My DD2 had a seasonal job there a couple of years ago and has sent her CV to the local store this year, we did all enjoy her staff discount last time....
This seems a very long week but i have worked late 2 evenings and don't think i've actually worked a full 5 day week since August!LBM - October 2018; finally debt free on 16 March 2021

A hotel chocolat discount sounds dangerous 🤣 I love their white chocolate (kind of waxy!), although some of the dark ones are a bit too rich for me!Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
