Who said  sweeties were unnecessary? Not me 😉 I’ve had a  walk and am literally watching paint dry. I’m in living room as front door wide open post varnish. I’ll be productive and compare car insurances.

lovely sunny  day here, so I’ll do a bit of gardening when DH come s back from his bike ride. I did 25 yards yesterday, first time post op on my much loved pink bicycle

hope work not to difficult today

  • Good morning and happy Wednesday, almost halfway through the week already 🍫☕️📚🌸
Nothing much planned apart from work and making meals. If the weather stays dry I will put some washing out and dog will help, in her role as escort duty. If I nip out without her she waits by the door with a look of disbelief, disappointment and regret at my selfishness, but if I let her come it adds on 5 minutes while she ‘just sniffs something’ and I stand on the step asking her to come in 😬
I hope you all have lovely days filled with sunshine and all good things ⭐️🌸🌺

How fabulous Carolbee, black Labrador puppies are the best 😊. My old girl seems back to normal, still old, overweight and a touch limpy, but also her usual self. She has taken to groaning when she’s settling down and in her sleep, not in a painful way, but just making noises to herself and she’s getting even worse with food. She can have her tea and then be watching everyone eat and drooling and pestering like she’s not been fed for a fortnight…I wonder if she forgets that she just ate? I’m going to be just like her when I’m really ancient, moaning loudly and swiping everyone’s food 🤣

Happy Wednesday @WinterWarrior. Our dog jumps up at the table when we're eating so we swat her down only for her to scuttle underneath and reappear at the other side as if to say "Honestly, I'm a completely different dog to the one you just told to get down"  :D  Have you had the bill from the call out vet yet or is that still a pending surprise  :#
  • @teafor2 just short of £171 pounds…for a quick temperature check and an injection. I actually thought it might have been worse. There is no way we could have lifted her out of the house, but in future we’ll know to wait a while in case she’s hamming it up!
As for your dog…he’s probably shocked you haven’t set him a place! When we eat in front of the tv dog has hers on the floor to eat with us (spoilt much), inhales it in seconds and then sits so close she’s practically on my knee, until she gets told to back off (which she does grudgingly, a few inches at best). I started off with visions of a trained super dog and tried for ages, but we eventually came to an agreed point where we met in the middle 😬

I thought it would be a lot more than that. As I’ve said before, I’m never shocked by vet’s bills. I know they have to train for longer than doctors to get their qualifications but it’s a licence to print money in my opinion.

When we first got our dog I was adamant she would sleep downstairs, we even bought a crate on advice from dog owners at work. She slept in the crate fine the first night, the second night she cried so much I couldn’t sleep so brought her into our bed where she slept like a log. Needless to say I sold the crate to someone not so soft with their dog a week later and our dog has slept in our bed ever since 😆 She’s a good dog though and would never steal your food or destroy anything.

  • @Sun_Addict we got a crate…she wouldn’t go in it. The cats went in, her teddies went in, I even went in…she said no way, that’s not a crate, it’s a cage! So we packed it away and that was that. Mine is a good dog too, she never destroys anything, is kind to cats and doesn’t steal (but does cry at food to alert me there’s something she wants) 😁
After some hefty bills before, I was quite relieved at the call out charge too.  Vets and dentists…they seem to rake it in!
