Good morning and happy Friday ☕️🍫📚⭐️
Just today to work and then three lovely days off. Four days to pay day 😁
I was reading some of the frugal boards last night, so impressive, but kind of like watching a travel program about somewhere really interesting that you still wouldn’t want to go to. I do some things already, but some are definitely a step too far just now. I just lost my place splitting up some cats and now I have the small one sheltering under my chin as he was being bullied 😬
There was an article on the news about overweight dogs last night, but as the vet speaking about it would have had difficulty finding her own ribs (as do I), dog said she lost all credibility and wouldn’t agree that being chonky is a bad thing 🙄 She also said she doesn’t have time for doggy boot camp…who would guard the treat cupboard while she was out?
I shall take some time today tweaking my spreadsheets for September. I need to do a shuffle as I spent more than I should (again), borrowed some from savings that I need to pay myself back ( I will not do that next month!), but miraculously have not touched the pots!
I hope you all have lovely days, heroes at the ready for emergencies, fridges full of crumble and all good things ⭐️🌺🌸☕️

Love that about watching a travel programme.

Your dog sounds so intelligent, good observation skills re vet. Our labs were rather rotund.

choc tins still untouched here by the sainted occupants. I am rewarded by a very slight decrease on the weight front, after paying to have one hip replaced, I need to ward off needing the other one done.

I am busying myself researching a possible Scottish holiday for next year after reading a book by someone based near Wigtown, Devorgilla Days, anyone else read it? it’s the first book I feel like reading again straight away

happy weekend full of everything you want and need

Morning @WinterWarrior. We've been known to buy double figures of those tubs of chocolate before Christmas has arrived :| Disgraceful but very enjoyable. In my younger days I'd buy posh chocolates from the counter at Kendals. Is your doggie guarding her own treat cupboard or doing you a favour and guarding your treat cupboard  :D Have a good day.

I've read some of the frugal threads too! It reminds me a bit like vegans or people who do parkrun (sorry if either are on here reading this) but they really wang on about it.

Love that doggo cant do bootcamp due to guarding duties.

I'm also stocking up on pigs in blankets. They're a permanent fixture of our roasts as 16yo isn't keen on a roast so it appeases him.

No vegan or park run people in my house 😬
Dog has her own treat cupboard, but is partial to everyone else’s too!
I may be being really out there, but (smug face) I sometimes make my own pigs in blankets…and always at Christmas…chipolatas and streaky bacon 😋
Carolbee I had to look up Wigtown…it’s pretty close to the border!

We've just been out to buy earbuds for the HT as his have mysteriously vanished. The Range have Christmas stuff in so you may not be able to buy turkey for Christmas but you can buy your elf on the shelf or Christmas crackers now 😨 The HT said in tones of horror "But we haven't had Hallowe'en yet".

I often make ours, I was thinking I might buy the ingredients, make them and stash them in the freezer until December. This will have to wait until we have had a good sort out in the freezers as they are a mess.

@Baileys_Babe our freezers always seem to end up full of old veg and nothing really edible! I must make an effort to sort mine out in anticipation of Christmas too 😊
