But obviously not pigs in blankets, as they have already announced that there will be a shortage at Christmas.  I wonder if it could possibly have anything to do with the profit margin?  Cynical or what.  Put in other terms, why haul a carton that will only make a £100 profit when you can have the same size carton hauled that will make £500 profit.

I don't think you are being cynical @badmemory I think you make a very valid point and as a business, you are there to make money so you would prioritise the products that make the most profit.

🤣 I am banned from buying tubs of chocolate, I think we ate 5 last year way before Christmas and had to buy more, if they are in the cupboard/bedroom/hidden I have to eat them and DH joins in whilst complaining....he's very supportive .....🤔

I’m actually going to buy a few more, as we are  quite social animals, and when going out for dinner etc, always take along a gift. As I paid £3 for a small carton of celebrations I thought I would get these instead. Got a few occasions in the diary and the recipients would be pleased to receive them. If I eat them, I can’t go out 🤐🤐

I had a friend who would freeze chocolates in her freezer in the shed outside, she said it stopped her eating them. I was always baffled as frozen chocolate is no barrier to me 🤣

The frozen chocolate wouldn't stop me - the shed outside might but only if it was snowing.

Wouldn’t stop me, I’d  keep a pair of wellies by the back door. The only place at moment I can’t access  is the loft, due to recent operation.

do you think we need some sort of addiction counselling?

Yes and it's probably why we're on the debt diary page too. I fondly remember putting Selfridges fresh cream truffles on my credit card on my way home up Oxford Street many, many years ago. That was the start of it.....

Oooh I could just eat a Selfridges fresh cream truffle right now!!
My start was buying chocolates as a gift, eating them with my mum and then replacing them before the birthday came up 🤣
