Thanks. I think the second one may be the correct bumper definitely. However, how would they go about putting the new number on?

Only asking because last time someone went into the back of me, I was told the clips broke and they don’t sell clips alone- and would require a new bumper.

Bizarre I know. But I wasn’t paying for it so I didn’t ask haha !

Be careful, breaker's definitions of "immaculate" "as new" "light marks" "small scuffs" etc. differ somewhat from mine (and yours most likely).  :o

If you are getting it sprayed, it won't matter, but if you are paying extra for the only one in the country that is the right colour it will.

Ohh I’m with you. So would you say even the most minor of bumps / nudges on the bumper may knock the filler / repair out-  causing me to be in the same situation I am now, or worse.
    There is that potential.

I'm not going to say it definitely would. I'm not going to say it'd definitely be fine.

There's two issues going on there. There's the indentation, then there's a pierced hole. The indentation may be workable-out, with heat, but the hole is going to need plastic welding. Then it's going to need painting.

Certainly a lot more labour - and skill - than just swapping the skin over for a new one.
Also, is £750 or more for a new bumper excessive would any of You say?
If that's what Ford charge, by the time it's fitted (and that's quick and simple), then our opinion is irrelevant.

what would you lot do if it was your car?

I'd weigh up how long I was planning on keeping the car for.

    Then I'd either...

Cover it with a witty bumper sticker?

Get it repaired, along with any further damage that's befallen it, prior to sale.

I had a bunper dent heated and painted - you couldn't tell afterwards. I was planning on getting rid within 12 months though

It's a bumper. Designed to be hit/scratched/knocked/dented/marked. Just live with it

Oh right that’s good to know.

well it is on finance and I am looking to possibly get rid in 18 months. I may potentially keep it - not made my mind up entirely

Sorry for the rant but you really shouldn't be so precious about your bumpers
