Oh Dancemum so hard for you. Hugs.
I feel a bit less tired today than yesterday so that's progress, not a bad day at the paid stuff either. House is looking a bit neglected but I am trying not to do too much.
Our little tourist town seemed to be rammed with people today, everywhere was busy. This is going to take some getting used to.
PJs on in a minute.

We have discovered she cannot swallow parrots lol.. she is a cruncher too.. Not the most useful thing to have inherited from me but hey-ho. We will try school tomorrow, I don't like having them off but her teacher will be asked to send her home if she appears unwell. I am starting to worry myself with all the awful things which could be wrong with her.. when in all likelihood she is just anxious about the high school situation.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)8 -
Thanks for all your birthday wishes, we had a good day and were lucky with sunny weather so enjoyed our picnic in the NT gardens. Also took courage in both hands and went to the carpet shop in the evening to adorn my decluttered study. My first choice was too expensive for a study, even though the sales lady kept finding discounts. Ordered a 2nd best - anything would be 2nd best and I wasted a lot of night time worrying whether I'd be really disappointed, but hey it's only a study carpet. It will be fitted on 29th which is immediately after we have a couple of days at my mum's so we'll have to shift the furniture before we go away.
Today has been at uni, home via the large Mr T to get a few flowers for the wedding at the weekend - I assumed the bride/her mum would forget to email me with a list/picture of what they have bought so I wanted to be sure. Needless to say, they sent me a list this evening which had the ones I'd bought, plus lots more. Still it is better to have too many.
Spent the rest of the evening trying to organise and rearrange a load of meetings and assessments for the forthcoming week.
Oh, and Mr N said there was a phone call from Buck Palace this morning! I had emailed about the fiasco regarding garden tickets, so it sounds as if they may sort it - of course they wouldn't tell him anything as I did the ordering (even though it's a joint cc) so they are ringing back tomorrow.
It sounds as if a lot of people need a lot of hugs.
Happy birthday HB ......soon.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.11 -
Todays job.. de-grotting Pixies bed and emty the ottoman bit under it.. I'm sure there are things in there I can just bin It is mostly teddy bears I think but I am storage boxing the ones they want to keep and filling at least 2 binbags of the hateful things to go to CS.
Tomorrow OH can dismantle Pixies bed and Moomins bed and rebuild it in the girls room. He can move the furniture to elsewhere and I will rip up the carpet and it can go in the car to be taken to tip. I might even be able to get the underlay down.. the carpet is being saved for Saturday because it will take me ALL day.. it would take a fitter about 10 minutes.. I was the daughter of a fitter, I'm not fast.
Today I have a nail appointment at 12:30.. Other than that I have laundry and vacuuming to do I think.

Morning all. Having gone to bed at 10.15 yesterday, I was in the WAC from 3.00 and watched Jupiter and then the sun rise. It is a beautiful sunny day here.
I was supposed to be doing the 75 minute drive to DS2's today, to look after DGS3+4 (DS2 is back at work, and DDiL2 has lessons to prepare), but I haven't been feeling very well recently, and this morning I thought to check my BP. It is sky high! I've also been getting tightness in the chest when climbing hills with Rosie, so I decided that, all things considered, it might not be safe for me, for other road users or for the boys if something nasty happened to me, and reluctantly cancelled my visit at the last minute.. Knowing what Naggy Nora would say, I rang the surgery first thing, got an early call back from one of the doctors, and have been told that I most probably have angina. Drat! So it's another prescription for more meds and weight loss. I need to clear the FF of hot cross buns, butter and chocolate, and join DH on his strict diet. Drat again!! But thank you, round xx
Rosie and I are both very disappointed not to have our day out. I am using the unexpected free time to deal with the next lot of admin that has landed on my desk, and am currently holding on for someone from my bank to speak to me about a matter which I can't deal with online, grrr. A mere 17 minutes so far, and the lack of musak is very disconcerting: is there really anybody there?
I have S&S'd the kitchen and bathroom, picked up bits of Rosie's fluffy coat, put tonight's tea in the SC, changed the sheet on DH's bed, and started WMx1. Don't think I'll be doing much else today except taking Rosie for her usual walk and catching up on zzz.

Lots of hugs especially for Dancemum, but to everyone else who might just want one.
Yesterday was strangely productive in comparison to other days. Bedding changed, washed, dried, ironed. There might have been something else, but I forget. I went to work in the afternoon to exchange one set of work for the next lot. That will keep me busy when I have time and inclination.Yesterday evening and last night were a different matter. I’m now shattered, and have achieved very little so far today.
Doctor appointment with DD later, pizza for dinner. I did actually do a meal plan the other day, but I seem to have deviated from it every day so far.
If everyone is self sufficient for a few minutes, I might go and look at what is (or more accurately isn’t) growing in the gh.ETA - I took so long to type this that I crossed with Iona. Lots of gentle hugs to you, and gws wishes. Put yourself first, and take care xx9 -
Ooh Iona - but how sensible of you. GWS
Been up to the aged Ps. Mum apparently 'keeps getting messages from Microsoft'. There was one - the one that came, while I was there on Tuesday which was necessary to reset her password. I have now deleted it. There was nothing wrong with anything. Again. Dad says it's her and not the devices and, sadly, I believe he's right. But she starts to panic.
Cuppa now and then I will crack on.

Hi all
Had a little panic that I had forgotten about Dad's car insurance but its 26th April, must get him some quotes. It's debatable whether he should still be driving but he flatly refuses to even discuss it.
Good day at the paid stuff, went out on the bike for an hour, this darned thyroid problem has destroyed my confidence and I felt a bit anxious but it will pass.
Well done for getting it checked out Iona, and you have reminded me that I need blood tests.
Pigpen bless her, lets hope she is just anxious, they often dont even realise they are worrying about something.
Tired now, I have run the cordless hoover around upstairs. The kitchen windows are filthy, will catch up with some flying tomorrow, it's my nephews birthday so will have to make a trip to deliver his card.
