Scrubbed the oven, microwave and halogen oven with Meatloaf blasting out to distract me from worrying. It worked, sort of.
Fayolle I got more worries into my post, thank you though, I feel a bit calmer this morning.
DS should be well on his way back with horsebox and very valuable racehorse. On a Saturday morning, in city centres and on motorways he has never driven on. I am NOT thinking about him.
Pigpen given the chance I would be around at yours, distracting the kids, helping with something, or possibly just getting in the way. Its too quiet here.
DH is working so its just me and the dog again. Going to hoover next and when the sun moves around a bit I must clean some windows.9 -
Oh my days...
I went to bed ast night.. someone ... (OH!!!) had locked Naughty Noz in my bedroom... for 4 hours!!! ... I could smell poo but not find it... I found it when i went to bed.. WITH MY TOES!!!!!!!!!!!! NAKED TOES!!!!!!!! Noz had also peed on OH's side of the bed so full bed change including mattress protector and duvets so I have all that to wash today... but YAY for clean sheets.
My hayfever is horrendous today.. I've double drugged it and attached my inhaler to my face.. I can't stop coughing and I have washing to hang out, in the pollen!!
and 5 loads of washing to run through one machine because the second machine is busted.. yes busted.. not broken, not dead.. busted.
To make matters worse, my morning apple was all mushy on the inside..so i have a cuppa with no apple.
My hands are REALLY dry today as well, which is super weird, they feel all crispy.... and I just figured it out... I used loads of lemon wipes to clean the wall behind Pixies bed before we put the new bed in place.. lemon antibac wipes.. hand cream it is then.
After my cuppa I am going to hang out Moomins bedding I washed last night, which means bringing in yesterday laundry.. and then I can get Moomins bedroom emptied and get this new carpet down which will create LOTS of space in the bathroom and landing where the underlay and new carpet have been living since November!! I can then clear a large bit of space in the middle room which is home to Moomins new bed..
There will be no time for flying.. other than DW and WM's and TD (I'm not hanging smalls out!!)
Not much going on here..
Oh, I need to get Twinkle to shoe shop at some point.. and post an ebeast parcel and pick up 2 prescriptions.. and I need to grovel around my mother to see if she would loan me £400 of her holiday fund to buy a new washing machine.
Have a lovely day all whatever mischief you're up to! xx

Morning all. I've just been catching up with your updates after a hectic couple of days of paid stuff, but so glad the schools are back. Hope your eye is ok today Round.
This morning, DH is at work so it's just me and the dogs. We've had a lovely long walk in the sunshine and the dailies are done. I'd like to change the sofa covers today but the dogs are snoozing on them at the moment.
As it is do nothing Saturday I'm going to read a magazine for a while, have lunch, do some knitting and then watch the funeral.Spend less now, work less later.11 -

Washing machine has been on once and is now on with the dogs bedding. DW is also on, beds made and I've been to the bottle bank. Lots of love to you all xx11 -
Afternoon all
Chaotic week here with decorator doing HSL, DH and I trying to work and me stressing about a huge deadline that I have next week... flying has been minimal, can’t do too much today either as the paper is still down to protect the carpets after the door painting, all is dry but I don’t want to move stuff as he’s coming back on Monday to finish off. It’s looking lovely though, I so wish I had the time to do it myself, it would save so much money, but I know it would take me months and then the standard would be nowhere near as high lol!
Anyway, bedding changed, wm x 3 run and out on the line, carpets vac as much as I can, kitchen, en-suite, bathroom, utility and downstairs loo all scrubbed. Bins emptied, new washing line fitted as mine broke... time now to sit in the sunshine and enjoy it I think.
Huge hugs to all in need x10 -
washing on line, DW emptied, WUALTD, got recycling soaking in the water.
Cursory weeding of new border done; as per usual it is bone dry and rock hard - digging in with the trowel almost impossible. Been looking at soil improvers on line. Am thinking bark chips - they will slowly rot and they will cover the grey, hard soil first and, hopefully, suppress weeds. It's only a small border. Any thoughts?
I've also attacked the couch grass (again) in the bigger border between mine and next door. A bucketful of roots whizzed into the green bin. Doesn't sound like much but that's the third time this year I have attacked it. It will be a lifetime chore...
NDN mowed all the lawn on the front and has weeded the edge where it joins the path, too - and asked to use my green bin - more than happy.

Afternoon ladies xx
Guess where I spent the morning? My new second home - A&E! I woke up just after 6 am and couldn't see out of my right eye. The best way I can describe it is like looking through a very steamed up mirror. I phoned 111 and they asked me to go to A&E within the hour. So I phoned DS and he crawled out of bed and took me. I waited in A&E for the eye doctor to arrive at 8.30. It was the same dr as yesterday which helped as he was able to compare what he could see with what he saw yesterday. A lot more blood clouding the eye hence the loss of vision. No retinal detachment and no visible retinal tear. He hummed and hawed about sending me to the specialist at Sheffield 😱 If the retina detaches I'll be sent to Sheffield but for now I am at home resting and I go back to the Eye Clinic on Monday. Or back to A&E if I get the symptoms of a detachment. What did I say about enough excitement already!!
I had my toast when I arrived home at lunchtime Fayolle. In fact I had two lots of toast and two brews because I was starving lol.
Thank you for the reminder about the funeral Jazee. I might have to watch with one eye shut to get away from the annoyance. But at least it's not painful.
Take care

Valli.. bark chips are horrible... cats LOVE to toilet in them and you cant just scoop like you can the soil. It provides a home for squillions of slugs and snails so your plants get decimated. I'd so with sand and compost.. the sand breaks up the clay and the compost keeps it fluffy.
Borrowed money from my mother to get a new washer.. it's coming Thursday. I've mopped the kitchen 3 times in ONE cycle! I don't need to do this.
Off to empty a bedroom now OH is alive to do the lifting my shoulder and lungs cannot do.
Refill the one washer which is functioning normally.. second super king duvet to wash..
