Deleted_User said:Thanks for the love yesterday guys. Not sure where I'd be without you all.
2nd load of washing finally made it to the line. Small things in the kitchen wiped, fruit bowl sorted, all as per the list, even if it was yesterday’s. I’m waiting for a grocery shop to arrive - pretty much unnecessary, but DD wanted some treats. Pea and broad bean plantlets watered as I was next to them hanging out the washing anyway.9 -
... skids in late as usual with profuse apologies. Thank you for the lists Natty and Valli. Sorry to hear someone upset you Ionafan - send them around here and I'll bash them up for you. (((Hugs))) ASB for your heebie jeebies yesterday. Happy birthday Narco.Yesterday was both successful and disappointing, but also exhausting. A friend opened a salon about six weeks before the first Lockdown and has been struggling to get it off the ground ever since, not having received any government support because it was a new business. I've now had five haircuts from her, but four have been quite simply - bad. I know she can cut well, brilliantly actually, but she doesn't seem able to concentrate any more, and her wretched daughter removed the photograph of the only successful cut I've had from her mobile phone, apparently setting up a new website for her so we started off yesterday on a sticky wicket. I'll wash this one a couple of times to see if that calms it down and looks a bit better but I'm in a real quandary as to how to deal with this. It's too short so I can't even go somewhere else to fix it. I could cry - it is so thick, and was so long she could have done almost anything with it this time. After that two hour debacle which should have been done and dusted in an hour - a trip to the tip (*fling* hurrah!), the CS (*fling* hurrah!), The Range, which didn't have the only thing I went there for (boo!), Morribunds and then dropping off paperwork at the Foodbank meant that I didn't get much else done yesterday but the car was empty. One more tottering pile to declutter to the Scrapstore but I can't find out when they're open at the moment.I'm shattered today. I have real problems with managing my energy and today is not working out particularly well. Very frustrating, because I'd lined up several things to do at my desk, so easily manageable, but I keep having problems with websites and tecky stuff. I suspect Windows 7 is no longer acceptable for some security checks. *sigh*Better is good enough.10

Oh HB what a dilemma, awful because a bad haircut makes you feel rubbish, and its ten times worse when its a friend that has done it. I guess it depends on your friendship and what sort of a person she is as to whether you can be honest with her or not.
I have also had my haircut, and have booked in for a colour in a couple of weeks. I need to be firm though, with my last hairdresser I went more and more blonde - and it doesnt suit me. My hair is currently more or less its natural colour, greys and all, for the first time in many many years.
Narco I hope the sun shone and the day has been filled with lovely things, Happy Birthday x
So, I have had a headache since I woke up yesterday morning, I also feel sick, shaky and generally bleugh. This is either my thyroid or a reaction to the increased medication, neither of which are new to me but its not great. Just hope things improve over the week.
So a full on day at the paid stuff but I am now home with feet up and trying to be kind to myself. Shepherd pies (meat and veggie versions) out of the freezer for tea. I have a book to read and nothing else to do until bedtime. I am firmly ignoring the grubby windows and messy floors.

I've had a very spendy day. Been to Debnsms sale (deliberate typo) with the dil. I now have the new pan I wanted, a new top and a duvet set, both planned purchases. And some perfume - Paris. I've also been to Lidl and mr m and the chiropodist.

Another big meeting day here ☹️ I learnt that DS2 said he was just coming home when they have helped him. The funding has been agreed for his new place and this time they will change his permanent address and GP. I feel bereaved.Ground floor stick cleaned

Apparently OH is off to the gym tomorrow too.. bit of overkill if you ask me.. going consecutive days after not going for months.. he has gained 2st 2lb since last March.. tbh, he looks so much better for it.. I definitely prefer him chonkier!Pudding has new foil balls.. they are his favourite.. I put them in a box, Percy wants the box... They are both stropping about like toddlers. Hazel hauled her entire dinner in her bed.. noice! and Polly pee'd on my dressing gown.. life is just fun here today!Squeak is under the weather again.. same thing, a slight temp, headache and sore throat.. she had 2 days off just before easter and is complaining of the same today, I did send her to school after dosing her with calpol.. I don't know what to think.. She hasn't been anywhere to get germs, is she struggling with school, but that doesn't account for the temp. I really don't know. She had an earlier night tonight so we will see how she is tomorrow. I said she could come home from school if she didn't feel well and her teacher twice asked her if she wanted to go to medical and commented when we picked her up she has not been herself today.. I don't want Squeak to think she can just feel a bit off colour and stay home.. I honestly don't know what to do with her tomorrow.. if I give her the option she would stay home.. but I think that gives the wrong message.
I have a nail appointment tomorrow.. I'm not really enthusiastic about going but it is booked now.
Ebay are insisting on having bank details so they don't have to use paypal any more so I have had to open another bankn account to deal wth that.. if they 'lose' the details for that account I stand to lose a whole lot less than if they have access to my main one.. I don't trust them as far as I could throw an elephant!I listed 3 big shopping bags and a box with the stuff I have listed. I have posted a carrier bag full and a shopping bag full... the 3 bags and box I started with are still full.. what is that about??? I haven't added more.. This is the story of my house.. nothing reduces!Anyway.. bed time..
Love and hugs and spoons and cake to all.. particularly Narco, Iona, Natty and her very normal group!, Fayolle and Miss Fayolle, DM ... and there was someone else I meant to mention and forgot who...LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)11 -
Dancemum, so sorry to hear you are going through all this. You are in my thoughts.Up early on my day off with a million things I want to achieve. Must shower and get my hair washed before school run time. It seems quite a bit warmer this morning which is lovely. Take care all xx11

Hugs all round to everyone xxPigpen eby move me on to this direct payment about 3 months ago, I too used a spare current account I had, I don't trust anyone with my account details, I also have set up alerts to my old phone for anything going out of this account, which in theory should only be me moving money out to an account I do use, so far so good.Yesterday afternoon, I hoovered out 2 cars, re fill wash bottles etc, and cut the grass front and back all look so much better.OH minor op earlier this week, has come back with 'we need to do further tests, we will contact you to make arrangements to have you back here with in two weeks' needless to say we are both very worried by this, but once tests are done, we will know what if anything is going on.Jazee my cues are in the conservatory but that and my kitchen are not heated, I keep the kitchen door closed to keep the cold out of the rest of the house, then end up as a butler to the cat who wants to go in and out, so maybe the 2 rooms together have just been too cold even over night, there have been some very sharp frosts over the recent 4 nights.Today I am off to pull out weeds, check my pots and outdoor seed trays, hoover.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles
