Valli, is there any unused space at the bottom of the wardrobe for the hamper to go in?
Had a great time at the dog field despite the previous user eating into my time slot. Since getting back I've wiped the sides in the kitchen.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
ASB.. I am sure the children will understand if you need to postpone their park trip. I don't like people at the best of times but after they have been deprived for a few weeks it shows how low our society has stooped.. I would LOVE a night at the pub but not enough to be there sniffing their letterbox! and no one needs a hair cut that badly or cheap clothes that badly.. have they never heard of online shopping and a pair of scissors? My grandson is booked for a hair cut next Tuesday but it is a lovely salon and he will only allow one man to cut his hair. Look after yourself for today.. tomorrow is a new day I'd rather have a class of teens than the street riffraff.
WM done,
TD on .. the things that were in it were crinkly so I've put a few damp things in to hopefully get rid of creases.. otherwise we are having crumpled bed sheets.. OH is hiding up there because the children are being noisy.. I do NOT want to know what he is up to.. but he can put clean sheets on whil ehe is up there.
I have a pile of stuff to go in the shed, some bits to post and I need to message my mother.
Moomin back at college today so we shall see how that goes. I ordered her some new face masks so we can wash her grotty ones. She has been using Twinkles rainbow/butterfly ones the last few days. I might throw sausage casserole together for tonight.. if I can be bothered to peel spudatoes for mash.. OH can do that if he can't bear to sit in here with the children he can at least do useful things!

Its a run of two wardrobes and a drawer/vanity unit. (I bought a 5 piece set s/h for £100 and I've always been rather proud of the bargain.).

ASB I can understand it, our local Co-@p was really busy last week when I called in and I just wanted to get out of there.
Paid stuff done for now, back for an online meeting later. Bit of a headache.
LR dusted and tidied, two loads of washing almost dried outside, changed our sheets.
Chicken casserole in SC, will peel some spuds and do a bit of veg in a minute.10 -
Hello
Thank you for the lists. I can’t promise to actually do any of them yet again, but I might surprise myself! 4 times today I thought to put the wm on - and 4 times I promptly forgot, so no washing done today yet again. Still haven’t got round to meal planning either...We started the day with a covering of snow. All my plant babies which are indoors are looking sorry for themselves after a couple of weeks neglect, so I haven't even ventured to the gh to see whether the babies out there have survived.
Took DD to the practice nurse today, and we had pretty much the same conversation, asb. A dislike now of having people too close, needing personal space more than ever. I can’t be doing with a crowded place at the best of times.
A few hours paid stuff done from home. I was starting to panic about things that needed doing, so feeling slightly happier about it now.
((Hugs)) Iona xx
Thank you, Round xx. Hanging on in there by a thread. I misread that you swished your new perfume round the toilet - now there’s class, I thought 🤣10 -
Thanks for the hugs. I had a long conversation with a wise friend today who has given me ideas as to how to resolve yesterday's problem.
I think I managed to do most things that I had said was going to aim for today, so I won't repeat myself.
I'm with you in the needing personal space club. It was quiet walking round the woods with Rosie late this afternoon, until the last couple of hundred yards when it suddenly became more like Waterloo in the rush hour, and I couldn't get away fast enough!
Lovely sky this evening - there's still some brightness over in Dizzy's direction, with beautiful cloud formations
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round xx10 -
Car insurance sorted.....I think! My car is definitely insured, as I can see the details in my account on the website. DH's, however.....I'm not sure! I went through the whole lot, put in my card details and the site crashed! CS is closed, details are in his name with his email - he hasn't made an account yet. The payment is pending on my card though. I think I will tell him to take my car to work tomorrow, to be on the safe side! The premiums (2 different companies) came out just short of £200 cheaper than the multicar policy I had (and that was after I got them to reduce the price!) I haven't been able to cancel that policy because they are now shut! (that'll teach me to procrastinate!) I will phone them first thing tomorrow - my card has expired anyway, so they can't get any money
Fairly productive day - food shop done, fridge cleaned out, kitchen cleaned, 1 shelf in one cupboard sorted, table cleaned. I even got to the allotment after all! (see - I told you I had been procrastinating! ) Grass was cut and carrots and radishes sown. Bee rescued from Ninja kitten - he is very good at catching them unfortunately!!
Just watching the news - there are a lot of people in those towns & cities!! Hopefully it will settle down soon! I need to go to the swedish store soon, so I am hoping everyone is going this week Stay safe everyone.9 -
Hugs to Ionafan; you are a lovely person and they got it wrong.
I had planned to go into town with Mr N (his first day at the gym) and look for the long-awaited new carpet for my decluttered office, but as the news predicted lots of swarming hordes plus it snowed a bit, I decided it wasn't worth the hassle. So I went for a run; cold at first but another reasonable one so I came back pleased with myself.
After shower and breakfast, I did a pile of washing up, tidying, worktop and appliance cleaning then swept the kitchen floor.
Put casserole in slow cooker.
Ordered some RHS tickets for next week's meeting with my friend who lives in a flat in London, works from home and is in desperate need of space and companionship.
Did more uni work.
Sorted out the remaining flowers from Easter which were lurking in a bucket in the kitchen. At least they take up less space in a vase and hopefully will open - most are mini white carnations still in bud.
We've had 2 snow showers today and a bit of hail but lots of sun although very cold. Sun dance for my birthday picnic tomorrow please. Mr N dropped into Mr S on his way back from the gym and got a little bottle of prosecco to make Buck's Fizz (the only alcohol I drink) and - big treat - some gf jam tarts!!! Will save me making myself a cake.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.10 -
Morning all. Hope you're all ok today. Hugs and spoons where needed.
Today I have no paid stuff but I do have lots of council stuff to do including site visits which I'll combine with dog walks.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Happy Birthday Narc0! We had a glorious sunrise at 6:30, so I hope you will enjoy good weather for your picnic x
I have two loads of washing to hang outdoors. I did them yesterday afternoon/evening, but the naps got in the way of actually finishing the job. i went to bed early last night and had a better night's sleep, but one cup of tea is not proving sufficient to give me the oomph I need to get going, so I shall simply have to go down and make a second one as soon as I have posted this.
Today I must collect an order from my local MrS. Dusting and hoovering upstairs might be a good idea too. The utility got hoovered yesterday when a washing tablet exploded as I tried to crush it in the packet (I am reverting to powder after this box of tablets is used up: cheaper and actually less messy - my WM doesn't like dealing with lumps in the powder tray). I also need to ring DS1, which I will do while drinking my second cuppa, and I might manage a bit of weeding of the raised bed with the railway track: mostly little blobs of brilliant green moss which have fallen off the roof and made themselves comfortable.
Catch up later. (((Hugs))) all round. Please help yourselves to spoons, if needed - plenty more in the drawers if all those in the pot by the hob are already taken xx
