guys...damn it!!!
I can confirm iam having the same problem. All that hapiness that i had in me is beginning to be replaced with frustration now :.(
I think the software keeps trying to re-install the mouse and keyboard every time we reboot because we haven`t really completed the set up...as we dont have a bloody keyboard and have to close the thing by pressing x.
Is there any way around that rather then closing it...i wonder0 -
I've tried everything I can think of to no avail, just got in touch with the guy I bought it from on ebay and asked for a refund, i'll buy a new mouse and a bluetooth dongle. Shame though.Sigless0

i might have to ask for a refund from the eBay guy. I do have a problem though i have got reid of all the packaging it came with.
Do you guys thinnk i can still ask the eBay guy for a refund?0 -
Just to make it easier for everyone else who's trying to get a solution.
I've tried safe mode installs on Setpoint 1.05 2.22 and 2.31. I've also tried getting the bluetooth install off Setpoint 1.05 and then uninstalling setpoint 1.05 (leaving the bluetooth installed) and then installing setpoint 2.31 - but to no avail.
There seems to be a big jump between 1.05 and 2.22 - anyone tried any other versions in between?0 -

just a possible pointer, i dont have one but i have experienced similar problems with bluetooth dongles under XP.
in order to stop xp from trying to install its own drivers for bluetooth devices ALWAYS install the s/w drivers before even plugging it in.
hope this helpsooh ee ooh ah aah ting tang walla walla bing bong.....0 -
Despite my earlier optimism I am stuck in the same boat as everybody else - I guess asking for a refund is the only option.
Has anyone managed to borrow a friends bluetooth keyboard to complete the installation?0 -
ive managed to get a little further with it this end...
...what ive done is go through the "clean boot" and install the 1.05 setpoint software as described earlier in this thread, then just installing setpoint 2.22 over the top without using "clean boot".
although itll detect and setup the mouse on start up, you dont need to press the button on the mouse or reciever now.
...itll still ask to setup the keyboard but again its easier to just close it from there.
hope this helps.

just recieved this email from the eBay guy;
"Hello
We have just received agreement from Logitech that we can return
all faulty units to them, so we can now offer you either a replacement
(fully tested) unit or a refund."
Do you guys think i should risk it and go for a replacement or a refund? any advice welcome as i cant make up my damn mind!!!0 -
