All these answers are dependent on the device actually being detected by Windows, i guess the software should install easily then.
I'm beginning to wonder if the whole lot are faulty. Has anyone got a Bluetooth device detected in Device Manager ?0 -
I managed to install the software using the way I posted above, with setpoint 1.05, it installs, the system recognises it as a bluetoth hub and everything. Then the logitech software takes over to set the bluetooth device up. Tells you its restarting your logitech devices and 'please wait' till it gives you instructions, then nothing, I left it for an hour, came back, still on 'Please wait', I restarted, but it starts up ad soon as windows does, and disables your mouse so you can't even shut it down.
I had to boot in safe mode and uninstall it before my mouse would work again.Sigless0 -
Very frustrating - have to ask yourself whether the people selling these so cheaply knew about these problems, but decided to sell them anyway...Thanks to all who post constructively.

Many many tanks to everyone....it WORKS!!!!
I`ve just downloaded a few pics to my desktop from my samsung D500.
I unstalled the setpoint 2.2, then started in clean boot. Then installed setpoint 1.5 and it works.
Thanks and good luck to everyone else. The key is to make sure you start in clean boot and install setpoint 1.5.
Iam soooo HAPPY.......0 -
REV... delete everything and try again. Hopefully it will work... follow the instuctions on the clean boot link posted by someone earlier, i think that is very important...

I think the problem stems from Microsofts own bluetooth software loading at startup when it detects a bluetooth device. This will over-ride the bluetooth software from 3rd parties. You can prevent Microsoft's software this way:
First of all make sure that any 3rd party bluetooth software is removed (in the add/remove software bit in control panel. Then:
Press:
1 Start
2 Control Panel
3 Administrive Tools
4 Services
5 Double click on Bluetooth Support Services
6 In the drop down section next to startup type change it to "Disable"
7 Click on the "Stop" button under Service Status
8 Click Apply
Unplug any blutooth hardware and restart the computer.
Install the software and only plug in the bluetooth hardware when it tells you to.
If all goes according to plan it should work.0
