Halifax £100 switch incentive

Doesn't this exclude RetSol if a Reward account was opened and a switching offer was received.
I didn't receive a switching bonus. I might be drummed out of the Forum for saying this but I can't be bothered to muck about with my Reward account!

just opened one on Sunday....grrrrrrrr!!!0

Does anyone know how the £5,000 / £5 works in Month 1?
I've just opened an account but the switch isn't until May, do I need to fire across £5,000 straight away or are they a bit more flexible in the first month?0 -
Should I close and reopen.... downgrade then open a reward...or write it off ??0

Out of those options I would downgrade and open a new one, and you can use your downgraded account as a donor for a switch at a later date.ronbell101 said:Should I close and reopen.... downgrade then open a reward...or write it off ??
Just keep in mind that apply for multiple accounts in rapid succession can cause lenders to decline you. So if that worries you it'd probably be best just to keep things as they are and wait for the next incentive.0 -
The requirement is to keep £5k every day of the month so if you haven't paid in on the day you opened the account, then you might not get rewards for the first month. That said, I meet the requirement from debit card spending so I can;t say for sure.Johntea said:Does anyone know how the £5,000 / £5 works in Month 1?

You can track your progress for your reward in your online banking, so it will say for sure there if you've missed out because you haven't met the criteria by not keeping enough balance.1 -
Just tried to downgrade using the app and it won't let me.... possibly because I haven't received and activated the debit cardPRAISETHESUN said:

Anyone with legal (legacy) multiple reward accounts trying this? Maybe using Ultimate Reward?0

Not yet although I do intend to open a Ultimate Reward account and switch in a TSB account and then downgrade the Ultimate Reward once the incentive is received.soulsaver said:Anyone with legal (legacy) multiple reward accounts trying this? Maybe using Ultimate Reward?
According to the T+Cs of the the Ultimate Reward account the £17 pm fee should be charged pro rata therefore around £9 so net gain £91.
I have 3 Reward accounts at present. Their system wont allow me to open another when logged in only a Ultimate Reward.
I am reluctant to try and open another Reward account without logging in as that may fail and result in the loss of 2 of my existing ones.1 -
As I can't get any more normal Reward accounts, that's much what I did last August. As Halifax are (/have been) paying swiftly, I switched the UR out as soon as the TSB switch-in was completed. I was not charged anything for the UR. Best to start this very early in a month so 2 switches can be completed before the end of the month. You may be just about still ok for April, or you might want to wait until May. Or you might not care about paying one month pro-rata.noh said:Not yet although I do intend to open a Ultimate Reward account and switch in a TSB account and then downgrade the Ultimate Reward once the incentive is received.
