Thinking about this there really should be a date on the form. As how can there say the form is late if there is no date on the form. Regardless of what it says on the phone message.

The 3 months to return the form is from the date the letter was sent, which should be on top of the letter (mine is 2nd March 2021) so 3 months from that is 2nd June 2021 for me. All they've done is removed the date it should be returned by.
I had to ring DWP (PIP) this morning and the exact same message is still on there so the 3 month deadline still applies.
  • Hi all just getting round to filling in the PIP form. Is it worth adding a note saying that nothing has changed and last time this was awarded at a tribunal. It took the tribunal about  3mins to decide that I was entitled to PIP. Would  they have this information to hand. As really was a waste of time and money have to go to the tribunal. Also is there any chance of this being decide without the need of a FTF/ (phone call) As nothing has changed since last one.

No they won't have the information to hand.  Whatever evidence you submitted to tribunal would be worth incorporating into your claim though, and you probably won't have anything to lose by mentioning that you were previously awarded by tribunal and that nothing has changed.  Paper-based decisions are rare but not impossible; expect to have a telephone assessment and if you don't then it will be a pleasant surprise!
  • Thanks I'm hoping FTF assessment's will be back by the time I need one (if I do) As can't use the phone.

They have started back up for some people but the majority of people will continue to have a telephone assessment. You should make sure you mention your unable to use the phone when filling out your form. You could also add a separate letter regarding this, this way it won't be missed.

I didn't get a ftf or a call for my renewal.  sent off same as last time just adding that there was no change where necessary. I type and print my responses as cant write for more than 2 lines without my hands seizing up. Makes renewal time much easier and quicker
Hopefully you'll just get renewed without the FTF or call too

Hi that's a good idea about typing and printing answer's. What did you write on the form? did you just put see attached to every question? Then type question 1. then wrote your response to the question 1 ?

On mine and my daughters review forms i wrote a small amount and then wrote "see extra A4 sheets" for more info. I typed all the extra information.
  • Hi all this maybe a silly question. Last time I had to claim for pip the CAB filled in my form at a meeting we had so all the Answers were MR ***** has trouble with instead of I have trouble with. This time round due to covid we had a phone call with the CAB so I will be filling out the form. So my maybe silly question is do I fill it out still using the MR ****** has trouble with Or do I fill it out I have trouble with.  Will it make the slightest different. I didn't won't the DWP to think oh he must be better as this time round he filled in his own form out.

You would fill it out with "i" and not Mr because you are filling in the form yourself. Giving them the impression that someone else filled the forms in when it was actually you, isn't the right thing to do.
I'm my daughters appointee for her PIP claim and when i fill her forms out for her, i do it as if i'm her. When i receive letters for her from DWP it says " we believe you are acting on behalf of ****
