Hi all,

Just to update, the replacement has been fitted for almost 2 months now I think, power has gone off couple of times that I can recall and all is well, boiler isn't loosing date, time and settings so that's a relief.  I've also left it on continuous so Nest-e is controller the heating fully and at the moment its been ok.  Not sure if that's due to it not being overly cold atm but it hasn't been coming on of a night or anything so far.  Will keep monitoring it but I suspect will have to wait till winter before I can tell properly as at the moment, the heating isn't on at all and place is sitting at around 20 so all fine.

Have also managed to find another capacitor as the place I got the first one from, they are now out of stock and unknown when they will get any more but looking online it seems they maybe being phased out so I picked up another one.  My thinking is if this new one lasts approx. 5 years, I've already got the capacity to replace the original one, which my dad has done now so that will give me another 5 years and I have another capacitor to replace if the ne wone fails so overall got approx. 15 years by which time I suspect the boiler will be requiring expensive repairs/replacing or perhaps we will be needing to switch to alternatives like hydrogen etc.
