Often, when I've traded in a car, I've been asked to sign a document saying that the car is in good condition, no major body repairs etc. I wonder whether there is something similar in the WBAC contracts?0

We had no choice but to collect, see this email received from WBAC, in which they threaten her.
''You vehicle is presently at our Heathrow branch, at your own risk and waiting for your collection. As Jodie advised today, we are willing to offer delivery of your vehicle to your home, or to a local garage as a goodwill gesture.
Please be advised that if you do not contact us to make collection or delivery arrangements for your vehicle within the next 28 days, we will commence arrangements to dispose of your vehicle as abandoned. Disposal of abandoned vehicles is via public auction, and in such cases you would be entitled to apply for the proceeds from the sale of the vehicle after deductions for our administrative costs.''

@jrai is this the whole story ? You’re telling us your daughter took a perfectly functional £27k car and handed it over then, after not receiving payment, chased up and was told it was damaged in their possession and now have taken back possession of said damaged vehicle whilst at no point escalating/complaining/seeking legal intervention ?
As others have said your case is muddied now you have possession again but are you absolutely sure the damage wasn’t pre-existing and she’s just been caught out ?0 -
And she should've replied that the vehicle is no longer hers as the sale was agreed. Also the bit about being "at your own risk" is nonsense as even if the car did belong to your daughter, WBAC would still have a duty of care whilst it's in their possession so any "risk" would be theirs alone.jrai said:We had no choice but to collect, see this email received from WBAC, in which they threaten her.''You vehicle is presently at our Heathrow branch, at your own risk and waiting for your collection.
