Thanks Valli, I deleted it because I wasn't sure it was appropriate but then saw your comment so I've put it back in. Well done for being there for your friend, but also for looking after yourself.

HB.. it is horrible. My ex-fil killed himself leaving 3 children aged 6, 5 and 15 months, and it had a huge long lasting impact and was one of the problems in cfs inability to parent. My friend from school took his own life 3 years ago.. his anniversary is coming up on the 20th April this was his last communication with the world.. "Goodnight and fond farewell. It's been fun". I miss him.Mental health is not a fun topic but the sooner we normalise it and stop with this 'stiff upper lip' rubbish the better. I am terrible in person because I need processing time before I respond but I will listen and get back to people later with something useful.. though sometimes just being there and saying nothing is needed, or just listening. Mental Health problems should be shared and talked about especially at the moment with people being more lonely than before and having nowhere to go. ((((hugs)))) I hope the poor lovely found peace and her family can too.

Shed fully emptied apart from shelving and freezer. I have cleaned hutch and braced the floor (thanks to the shed man, who screwed the screws in - I am SO going to get an electric screwdriver...I'm hoping that this lovely weather will help the floor dry off. Washing in and ironed.

DS2 has been commanded that a voluntary job is non-negitiable so I can get him out of the house and decorate his room.

HB sorry to hear that. I watched a documentary about suicide in young men and it got me thinking about how much we encourage our boys to strive to do well in life, but rarely say to them that they are loved no matter what and they can talk to us about anything. Still so much stigma about mental health sadly. I cant imagine how awful it is for the family.
A rubbish day at work. Endless problems. Oh well tomorrow is another day. Two loads of washing dried outside, all folded and put away. Microwave cleaned as it was looking a bit grubby, veg curry eaten out in the garden.
Feet up now. Will do a little yoga but wont be late to bed.

HB that is very sad.
A lovely sunny day today.
- went for a run
- one load through wm, hung out, brought in dry
- went over to the forest to meet a friend we haven't seen for several months, went for a walk in the forest then sat and had tea in his garden accompanied by the chocolate cornflake cakes I made this morning. The rock-like gf hot cross buns are sulking in the kitchen. I may make a trifle or something with them, or even bash them up in the food processor for a topping....
- dropped in to Mr Al on the way home. I'm not one who enjoys shopping and have quite liked the c&c from Mr T, but it was lovely to wander round and buy what we fancied the look of, plus of course it is so much cheaper. Got home and moved our Mr T c&c from next Sat to Tues - may even cancel that on Monday as I'm at uni on Wed and come home past a huge MrAl.
- checked and watered seeds. First broad bean up outside, yippee.
Worn out after all the running and walking so I think it will be drum practice, make a pizza for dinner then either an evening on the TV or may try and finish that report.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.10 -
Evening
Well it has been a lovely day, managed a nice walk with DH at lunchtime, washing dry on line, since finishing work I have emptied bin, hoovered stairs and landings, swished over downstairs loo, tidied utility, taken various gubbins to the garage, witnessed a form for NNDN, cooked easy supper, eaten it and reset kitchen, wm x 1 run and will put on the line in the morning. Load of cleaning rags etc set ready to swish.
DH has mowed the lawn, eaten his supper and has been called back to work.
I am now going to catch up on here and then curl up with my book.
Have a good evening x7 -
Evening flyfolks x
After getting up at 6am to take DH to work so I could have the car, I dropped of 4 bin bags at the tip. I have been flying at DG’s house today and had visits there from 2 estate agents to get valuations. Emptied and cleaned all of the kitchen wall cupboards. Just the pantry, bottom of a tall cupboard and one single base cupboard to go. The problem is still the lack of charity shops being open.We have also received some forms from the solicitor so I need to read those another eleventybillion times and hope they make sense.
I need another very early start tomorrow as I have the 2 estate agents coming to dance-towers to value it. More appointments on Thursday and next week. I made them promise not to take photos
Glad Mr Ionafan is home
Love to all xx10 -
Morning all,
WAC sentry reporting for duty. As my alarm goes off in just over an hour anyway there is no point going back to sleep. I have made a cuppa, set the WM going as the forecast is glorious, and filled up the chicken feeders. I am off for 2.5 weeks after today and I cannot wait.Have good days all x10 -
