Parking charge advice

Evening all. So I got a charge for parking in a royal mail car park for five minutes in February. Its apparently also a gym car park and I got a fine (clearly ridiculous at the moment anyway with covid as the gym is closed and the car park was deserted.) The car is a company car that is leased and the lease company sent the fine through. I sent an appeal through that I got from following the links on here and have received the reply below. My question is what should I be doing now? Obviously I don't want to say or do the wrong thing.

As above , await for it to time out regarding the driver (phishing) and let it lapse to hirer liability , PP will have failed POFA on hirer liability , which is why they want a driver to hang themselves !!

The worst possible thing you could do would be to reveal the driver's identity.

Whilst you await your PoPLA code, do a forum search for Hirer/Lessee PoPLA appeals, and read the third post of the NEWBIES for other appeal points you can use.
Have a thorough look at the PoFA 2012, especially paragraphs 13 and 14 so you can compare the strict requirements of the Act against your NTH and the paperwork they are supposed to supply.

Construct your draft appeal and post it here for checking before you submit it.

Did you actually appeal "on behalf of the driver" or are they making that up?
  • Hi. I changed a few bits and used the hirer appeal letter from here I believe. It is now the 1st so I'm waiting to here. Is it the case that they can hold the hirer responsible for the fine?

So I haven't had a response from my appeal. Instead I've received a second letter addressed to the company for the incident on the 14th of February again. Any advice on what to do now? Not sure why they've reissued it. Worth pointing out it was a gym car park during lockdown when the gym is closed and the car was there for 14 minutes.

Do you believe that helps you?  I'm not sure why you are pointing that out.  Can you explain?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
