Painting a rental property all the same colour. Good v bad idea?

Yes, but not grey! it’s so dismal, and very last year. A white with a warm yellow undertone (not a pink undertone which = magnolia), or a pale cream suits every interior.2021 Fashion on the Ration Challenge - 66/66 coupons remaining.3

I rent out a modern apartment and when the last tenant left we decided to brighten the place up and did it with magnolia which looked nice.
Within a month of moving in the new tenant asked me if she could paint it all through in white as it would match the new suite she was about to order.
Not sure if white is the new magnolia but its worth considering lol0 -
Is nobody going to quote the Rolling Stones' about which colour you should paint it?!
Seriously though, it would be nice to see rental properties painted imaginatively/boldly, with warm colours for warm rooms, etc. At least in London there are a lot of rentals that were formerly owner-occupied so this may well be becoming more common and will make the property seem more homely and attractive to prospective tenants.

I'd go with @Doozergirl 's suggestion of Egyptian Cotton. We used it in the rather narrow hallway of our previous house. It's an attractive off-white and it really reflects the light/gives an illusion of space.

Definitely not any shade of grey, it's a cold, drab colour & would put me off of wanting to rent a property if that was the chosen colour scheme. Something with a bit of warmth that gives an airy welcoming feeling would be so nice & different. The country has gone grey mad for some reaon. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.2 -
when we peeled back the previous vendor's wall paper it was fluorescent yellow, gave me a headache while I was removing the rest and painting over it. Took me 4 coats of very lightly diluted opaque matt white paint to cover it."It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

I personally like grey but only a very light one, we spent a long time finding a lovely light grey which is Wilkos Grey Whisper - it’s just a hint of grey.0

My home is an ex-rental, first thing I did when I was a few weeks away from exchange and complete was buy trade white.
On my second day of having the keys, before moving in, the magnolia was gone.
Cheap, cheerful and easy to add colour with accessories and furniture. In a way it's a timeless classic.
Got fed up looking at property photos when finding a home and seeing every potential property was grey.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
I have instructed the painter to paint the whole lot (apart from ceilings doors etc) all the same colour.
I have done what most said not to do and went grey lol
A very light grey. If the tenant wants to pay and change things up abit they are welcome to. Providing its nothing extreme. The last tenant painted the living room black with a cheap dark grey brick effect wall. No doubt it will take a few coats to get rid of.0 -
Are you looking for a colour that the most people will be OK with (I would say white or just off white) or something that a smaller number of people will really like and other people dislike?
