Its the first time I've had a change of tenant and I need to refresh the house painting wise.

What I wondered was if it was best painting every part of the interior the same colour (light grey).

Doors, woodwork ceilings etc all would be white however every room in the house would be exactly the same. Or should i go darker greys in some rooms?

Thanks

I would say YES please. I'm sick of painting beige and magnolia walls grey. You can get lighter more muted greys with tones of purple/blue which make it look sometimes more lilac than grey (but not sickly pastel lilac purple).

One neutral colour, such as the light grey, throughout is probably your best bet.

When we moved into our over 60s HA house it had been repainted in magnolia and new carpets throughout.  We had been offered a choice of carpets and were asked if we were happy with magnolia.  As we have some beautiful pictures to hang up we were more than happy with the latter.
  • OP, yes one colour as you suggested or white if it has dark areas/rooms. Then dark laminate floors. Easier to look after IMO. Mot of the people I work with rent privaet and often walls are white, laminate flooring and easy to clean, dark carpet on stairs/landing.
