This is an incredibly information sparse topic but none the less if she didn't make any contributions she has no claim over your assets, regardless of your child. You've been asked this repeatedly and ignored the question but did you ask the solicitor why they want this information and if so what did they say? If you haven't asked, then ask.
Did you update the CMS with your new earning situation and that's what kicked this off? Are you paying less now than you were?
I suspect what's happened is the CMS payments have greatly reduced, your ex doesn't believe you and has involved a solicitor. The solicitor is using your assets as a way to prove your income. However assets are irrelevant from a child maintenance point of view, only income matters. As pointed out previously in the thread if you can prove receipt of benefits (JSA, etc) then that should be sufficient to disprove their claim.0 -

There are circumstances where it is possible to make an application under the Children Act for financial settlement on behalf of a child, separate from the CMS, so it's possible that this is in play,. however, the OP will need to provide more information about what, exactly, his ex's solicitors are requesting, and what reason they have given. All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0

I pay CMS appropriately based on benefits that I receive. CMS can access my tax details so that is all fine. My ex is asking for a statement of my assets as she does not like the fact that I have a mortgaged house and she rents a house0

Apologies for the apologies for the 2 threads... I am a newbie here and couldn’t find the first one I posted 🙈
Yes quite simply... CMS ave access to my earnings through HMRC and tell me what to pay. I am now on Universal credit so my payments are less. But i own a mortgaged house which my ex lived in for 2 years without paying bills and I think she wants a piece of my cake1 -

I’m going to ask once more, then I give up.
Without all the speculation, what grounds has her solicitor actually given in the letter to you requesting the information?I could get a solicitor to write to you asking for similar details. It doesn’t mean anything. Without the specific basis for which they are asking for it.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

Indeed and sadly this is happening quiet frequently. Even more sadly, paid towards the house, food, holidays, repairs, mortgage, etc, etc or not as the case often is, IMO judges for whatever reason tend to be more generous on the whole to us ladies. My parents always stressed that once you are of working age you need to stand on your own two feet and if/when married then it is a partnership, a fair one.
If anything your thread and many others show why everyone should get prenups as a priority. If your other half doubts your love if you seek a prenup then jog on, better still run fast.
