Non married ex asking to see my accounts

Help! My non married ex solicitor is requesting to see my accounts. I do pay her child maintenance as asked as we have an 8yo boy together. But I am now out of work and am worried as I own a mortgaged house

Why is the solicitor asking to see your accounts? Also I assume you’re talking bank accounts here?1

Is this a dispute over the amount of maintenance you pay.1

You’re going to have to give a lot more back story if you want sensible advice. For what reason is the solicitor involved; are your finances entangled in any other way; is the maintenance a private arrangement or through the CMS.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.2 -
I fully comply with CMS and pay whatever they tell me. Her solicitor now wants access to all my assets... house, savings & pension. Probably because I do not earn what I did 5 years ago.
Her solicitors demand has come out of the blue and they are saying they are prepared to go to court.
I think it is ridiculous as we were not married and my current job situation is no fault of my own.
I thought I should ask on here before I needlessly pay for a solicitor!TIA0 -
The solicitor must still have given a reason for asking for the information. What is the reason they have given?Your house and pension are nothing to do with child maintenance. This is more than that. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Years ago a member on here said how her maintenance was increased because her ex had been ordered to produce his P60s, which stated that his earnings were different to what he was declaring. She had thought that would be the case as his lifestyle (house, holidays, car) wasn't conducive to the amount he said his salary was. I remember the story because I suggested my friend to request the same thing when she believed he was lying. If you are single and out of work presumably you are claiming some sort of benefit? That should be easy enough to prove that you aren't earning. Not sure what pensions and a house have to do with it.1

Refuse. Ask them why.
As you're paying the mandated amount as set by the CSA, you're doing what you should.
Your accounts are none of their business.I started out with nothing and I still got most of it left. Tom Waits0 -

What was in the letter. You say DEMAND is this in red at the top? Or do you mean they have asked? If its a demand is it via a court?
You don't need a solicitor, so don't pay for one. Solicitors will type a letter for almost anything if the client will pay. Let your ex pay.
We need to know what the letter - or demand - is though.
Is it not just a letter saying we request to see your financial records on relation to cms payments, if you don't comply we are prepared to go to court ?Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
The OP already has a thread running on this from last week on a different board:3

Why have they asked you to provide these details? They must have given a reason especially as they have threatened court.
