Negotiating on a used car deal

OP - pick the one you like, colour, mileage, check it out, get the full tank of fuel and enjoy your purchase!
Get a good deal for the part-ex, either through E-H or through WBAC, Motorway.
Nothing to worry about.

Chances are, they hope to make money from cheap trade-ins giving a profit at auction. Definitely important to check the value of the part-ex before negotiating.
They are so cheap, I'm tempted myself (except doing no mileage anywhere ate present, so why waste £10k?)
I put one of the listed vehicles into WBAC and they valued at £9.5k. To retail that at £10.5k leaves nothing for the dealer.
Dealers these days have to price their cars at rock bottom prices to get the phone to ring. When they are the cheapest already in the country and working on waifer thin margins theres going to be little room to maneuver, if any at all.
BUT, better to only get £10 off one of those priced at £10,990 than £1,000 off one priced at £11,995 at a different dealer.1 -

OP - one thing to check with these cars is that they have whatever servicing done so that the Vauxhall warranty is maintained. They are advertised with "Balance of Manufacturers Warranty" but that is meaningless if the manufacturer would argue after the event that the warranty is void as the servicing was not carried out. Although barely run in, these are "69" plate Jan-Mar 2020 care, so a year old and therefore likely that a service is due.
If price is important, then negotiating is not going to get you far, but there are a couple of cars with higher mileage listed (13k miles at £9.8k and 5k miles at £10.5k). Then the bulk listed at £11k. Or, if low mileage is the priority, there are a couple at £11.3k with 100 miles.
The other factor to consider is what the delivery charge is and whether you can negotiate to get that waived.
I really think, if you can get one of these cars with warranty intact, mats, full tank of fuel and delivered all at the "windscreen" price, you've got a good deal. A very good deal.2 -

I'm seeing a red one at £10.5K with 4,600 miles which could be an easy £490 saved for the O/P if they are happy with the colour.

At £9.8k.
My pick would be this one (lowest cost target):

Or this one (lowest mileage):

With only 100 miles, you know it has truly simply sat there and not been mistreated. Only due diligence is to check it was not in need of any bodywork repairs.
That said, having only done 152 miles since 1st January, I could not justify any kind of car purchase.0 -

I have recently done same.
Pre Reg Sept20, 6 miles
Price £19900,Auto trader had others same spec, but 10miles Jan21 at £21500.
I used WBAC, Autotrder, Jack's to see value.
Spoke to dealer they came back at £250 more,
Had worked out figures, offered £19500, they came back at £19750.
We agreed on £19800 with mats, fuel and delivery(150miles)
Happy with deal, no where came close.
Looked at CARWOW, DTD and brokers, new cheapest was £22950 for same,
I spent weeks looking and checking back, the advice from this site about the Autotrder listing with the date in the address bar helped
Ask for money off but don't be unrealistic.

What do you mean by 'mats'?0 -
I have done the valuations on WBAC.
The one I want to buy comes up as £9405. My trade-in comes in at £2375, but it needs a new clutch that has not been taken into account by WBAC, (although I have discussed this with the dealer, and we have both agreed £600 discount off my car for this).
This gives a total cost to change price for me of £10,040, with the WBAC cost to change price of £7,630, a difference of £2410.
Should I try to get a reduction of 50% of this, ie £1,205 or thereabouts? Or should I aim for £1,000 or less? I'm not sure how much they would need to make for the deal for them to be worthwhile.0
