What is "parked adjacent to a dropped footway"

4.6 m long car does not fit in 3.9 m gap.
Either the photos show the perspective in a mis-leading way, or the car was moved, or the back seats are missing?
OP - which is it please?0 -
Regarding the photos, what I showed initially is correct. There is literally no reason for me to manipulate photos and if you suspect that I did for whatever reason, then just ignore this thread. I could post the council photos but I would want to then crop out the photos to hide licence plates (not just my car) and between work and children, simply can't be bothered.
For those that have responded, thanks for your input and it's much appreciated. I've checked the highway code and will post on that other site recommended here once my registration is approved. I have already appealed (before this thread) on the basis I literally could not see what I've done wrong.
To answer some of the questions asked, there is no dropped kerb behind the car, we've literally being parking here on and off for 5 years. If it's not my car that's there is someone else's.
Lastly, it's a 3 series.1 -
Well if your photos are an accurate representation of how you were parked in relation to the dropped kerb and the sloping kerb-stones, and if that is also reflected in the council photos, then you should be able to get the ticket cancelled I'd have thought. When you post on Pepipoo you'll need to post up images of all pages of your PCN and link to the council photos. (Follow their instructions carefully as they tend to be very pedantic and get a bit annoyed if you don't answer all of their questions. You may think the questions are irrelevant, but they aren't - they're looking for any way to legitimately defeat your ticket. If there is a way, they will find it. But they'll need to see the PCN and council photos)1

Its easy enough to blur a reg plate(s) in MSPaint (or similar)and a GSV takes seconds and as @Manxman_in_exile says - PePiPooo wont touch this without that info anyway1 -
FWIW I think the angle/perspective of the OP's photos is OK and I can accept that his photos show his car correctly parked between (not adjacent to) two sepaprate dropped kerbs. What concerns me is that the council photos may actually show the car in a completely different position in relation to the dropped portion of kerb. (It's not clear to me if the OP's photos are just an example of how he thinks he normally parks, or whether they are photos of how he actually was parked when the ticket was issued... )Having said that, a cursory look at some of the council cases on Pepipoo demonstrates that council enforcement officers and parking departments are generally clueless as to the parking regulations they are trusted to enforce! Motorists must pay out millions if not tens of millions each year in parking fines that could easily be overturned if they only knew how.1

I previously got an unjust ticket and appealed it to a point I had to go see an adjudicator/magistrate (?) in person. They didn't even bother show up but the victory didn't taste too sweet as I had to book a half day off and pay transport cost to get there.
Assuming they also do the same thing here, can I reasonably suit for them wasting my time? Especially if they haven't followed the law and don't show up.1 -

OP, the council's appeals team tend to sort out most wrongly issued tickets (they do where I live), and most appeals to them are successful - a mate of mine works there and reckons 70% of appeals are successful, other than the people just trying it on. My bet is that the person who issued the ticket wasn't an experienced parking attendant who doesn't know what adjacent actually means.
If you end up going to court, keep an accurate record of all your 'costs' including your time to prepare for court etc. Present this at court and request they award costs against the council - they might not but worth a try.1
